Question About Ayu DVD's

I kinda feel stupid about askin this question but here goes...

I ordered a bit of Ayu's CDs recently, and M.A., Moments, and Inspire all come with DVD's. I got the overseas versions, and they have the DVD code "3". I live in the US, so will those DVD's work for my DVD player? Or my PS2? (doesnt really bother me if they dont, I was just curious as to if they would or not). I'd like to hope that they would though.

Thanks to anyone who could respond to this.

If you mean Region 3 it shouldn't work...though if it's Region Free it'll work for sure...On you're computer I suppose it should work...I'm 100 percent positive that after you buy the REGION X for the PS2 it will play ANY region dvds...

That's the value of a PS2, lol

You can just get the program for PC it's called, DVD Region-Free. Able to bypass any region. Or you can just use your Gameshark 2 or Action Replay for PS2 (if you have one) to boot up the DVD's. It will work, those cheat devices act as a region free software to bypass it.

You can use DVD Region-Free or there are some websites that will give you software to flash your PC's DVD-ROM drive with so that it doesn't check for region encoding. It should be noted though that if you aren't familiar with reflashing drives, you shouldn't do it. Nor should you if you don't want to void your warranty on the drive. As for the regions, here's a breakdown of them:

Region 1 - United States and Canada
Region 2 - Japan, Europe, Middle East, and South Africa
Region 3 - Hong Kong, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Borneo, and Indonesia
Region 4 - Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, South America, and the Caribbean
Region 5 - Russia, North Korea, India, Africa, Mongolia, and former USSR countries
Region 6 - China
Region 7 - Reserved/Private
Region 8 - For commercial use (such as airplanes)

There are two types of DVD-ROM drives:
RPC Phase 1: RPC1 drives do not have built-in hardware support for region management. For these drives, Windows maintains the region change count information, and the region can be set only once.

RPC Phase 2: RPC2 drives maintain the region change count information in hardware, and in general the region of such drives can be changed up to five times by the end user. For Windows XP you can try (-> denotes the next step, read it as 'THEN'): Open My Computer -> Right Click DVD-ROM drive -> Click Properties -> Click Hardware Tab -> Select DVD drive -> Click Properties -> Click DVD Region Tab -> Pick New Region.

However you can generally only change it up to 4 times before the drive is permanently locked (Windows picks its own region for the drive if the manufacturer of your PC or drive did not originally) - so try to get around the region via software instead. It's much easier.

And usually you can mosify your regular DVD player to be region free. Just type the maker, and the model number, if you know it (if you don't know it you'll want to check your manuel before attempting anything since there are different methods for altering different models), into a search engine, along with "region free" or "region free hack" and instructions should come up.

Or... you can just go here: http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks
just type what brand your DVD player is and it'll show results.
