Pets who love Ayu?

This is kind of bizarre, but anyway. I once had a parakeet who loved Ayu. If I played any kind of music he would just sit there and be quiet, but when I played Ayu he would flap and chirp happily and kind of bob his head with the music. This was a waaaay long time ago, because I remember when vogue first came out and I played it over and over again, and eventually my parakeet could whistle it. It was really awesome. But then he died the next week, which was really upsetting because I wanted him to whistle all of Ayu's songs...
But recently I discovered something else. My old lady cat, Emily, is usually really grumpy and ignores everybody, but then the other day I started singing Depend on you to her and she rolled over and purred and cuddled up with me, and when I stopped, she stopped. So Emily has become an Ayu fan, right now her favorite song is About You, she goes nuts when you sing that to her.
So has anyone else had any weird experiences like this? Or is my obsession with Ayu just rubbing off on animals?

It really might just be the tone of the music. Pets can distinguish between voices but I'm sure they would like other songs (in the same vein) just the same.

My dogs don't really pay attention to music.... but one of my dogs likes to TV sometimes, and always looks like she's enjoying Ayu's concerts.

Really charming (and tragic) story.
I think the animals are picking up on Ayu's ultrasonic squeeks: it appears that even the subliminal "you will buy my next CD" background chants embedded in each song are tuneful

Sortof: intelligent animals will pick up on the fact you enjoy it and act accordingly.

My cat liked her songs. Whenever I listened to ayu she would come running and look at me with this sweet look while I was sitting by the computer and she would start meowing and get prepared to jump on my waist. And after she jumped she would stay on purring while the songs were playing. Too bad she died long ago, I was just kinda starting to be an ayu fan back then. I guess she would connect the fact that her songs were playing with me being around, so she would just run to where I was.
