WHEN do you like to listen to music (mp3, ipod, computer, stereo, etc) during the day? And how long do you listen? Do you think you're listening too much, or not enough?

EDIT:

Also include how long you use earphones/headphones for music
^ I am trying to prove something to my parents =D

When I'm not doing anything that requires serious thinking, I either listen to music or watch a movie - and it's mostly listening to music then. So yeah, pretty much whenever I got the time to do so.

I listen to music when I'm using my computer, which is 4-6 hours everyday. I've gotten into the habit of using my portable CD player around the house at night, or in the morning, so altogether about 6 or 7 hours a day. That's enough for me.

i listen to music when i'm on the computer (2-3 hours) or when i'm doing my chores. It takes my mind off of things. If not on the computer, i listen from an hour to an hour and a half. And yes, i think i listen to it a lot.

On the bus, walking to school, on the computer (2-3 hours a day), doing the dishes, driving in the car.

3 hours out of my day I'd say is the average I'm listening to music.

. . .Too much music. :3;

I usually listen to music while I'm doing schoolwork, while I'm on the comp, I take my CD player when I go anywhere, and of course there's the music in my ballet class. . .And sometimes I listen when I'm about to go to sleep. ^^; So. . .*thinks* A good 8-10 hours a day. x.x

I listen to music when
- I'm on the computer (usually something fun or strange that I wouldn't really listen to elsewhere)
- I'm going to bed (something calming, usually Hajime Chitose, Maaya Sakamoto or Keiko Matsui)
- when I'm walking to work/school (something with a beat to keep me moving like Nobuchika Eri-did that this morning-, Utada, Lee Jung Hyun or VNV Nation)
- when I get up (whatever I listened to going to bed wakes me up in the morning~I'm a lite enough sleeper so it actually does wake me up)
- when I'm in the shower (something fun that I can sing along to, or something short (like a single) so that I can keep track of time. I was just singing along to Bonnie Pink's Golden Tears a few minutes ago )
- when I'm working/do chores/sitting in my room...whatever...

I listen to music a lot.....wow....all the time really...

I listen to it all the time except at school. Our administration is very strict about electronic devices and it's almost impossible to listen to anything...

I'd fall asleep to music more often but I always wake up and I'm sore with marks from my head putting pressure on my headphones. Plus I don't wanna mess up my babies. I would die if I bent these headphones and broke them.

I use to listen to music by portable player and headphones when I'm at my train to univeristy and back home so approx. 40 minutes all together. Sometimes also in the breaks or when I have a free hour. So on some days I use it more than 100 minutes and sometimes one our without break.
I use to listen to music at home. Means the whole day after university. I use to listen to music while doing homeworks, reading and so on. Music is my life you know.

Well..it depends for me. When I'm at school and have time to chill in front of my computer, I always have my iTunes on...^^; But when I'm not at school, I don't have music on as much.

When I drive, though, I always have music on. CDs/iPod/whatever works. And right before I go to bed, I listen to my iPod (with headphones on) while I write in my daily journals. I listen to my iPod for around an hour or so...depends on how inspired I feel to write in my diary.

What are you trying to prove to your parents?

ugh, constantly.

if i'm at the computer, i have music going. occasionally if i'm playing video games, i'll mute the television and play music. when i read, i like to have something going on in the background.
if i'm going out, i bring my ipod with me.
when i go to bed, there are usually two televisions going very loudly elsewhere in the house. i usually put something soothing on to drown them out and help me sleep.

I listen to music on the computer, while travelling and sometimes when I'm doing repetitive work. That'll roughly work out into half a day I guess.
