2006 Oricon Top 30 Singles/Albums

I don't think this has been posted yet. I can't read japanese so I can't translate anything.

http://www.oricon.co.jp/news/ranking/19351/

At least Ayu has highest album sales for non-best album.
Discuss =)

And I'm not sure if this would go under Ayu News or Asian general =\

I still don't really consider BEST ~second session~ a best album (I think it's an original album since none of the songs were ever a part of an album before), but still (miss)understood is definitely on a very good spot there. Thanks for the info

^ I think simply naming it a best album increases the sales =p

meh, I don't consider BEST~second session~ a best album either, but it is a single collection, so I'm putting it somewhere in between a best and an original album

But Ayu's sales aren't really bad considering the BEST albums she was up against. LOVE COOK's doing pretty good there too(although I'm not overly fond of the album).

Ayu is still one of the top females so yay for her right? Ayumi and Koda Kumi are the only females that made the top 5 for an original album.

And look at the singles Ayumi and Koda Kumi are the only females who made it twice.

Funny how they mention KAT-TUN and Koda Kumi in the title...they're so the "it" music scene right now here o_o I'll read more of this article later. ^^;

Edit: Oh btw, I can't believe it's already considered the 'half-point' of 2006 right now o_O;;;; Time really flies!

Interesting to see a newcomer like Ayaka have a single which ranks so high. She's on #12.

It was the theme song for a drama. And I think 400 albums came with a very special freebie or something like that. I tought the sales were quite disapointing, because the song was good and had a huge promotion...

i dont think its the official end to the half way point yet cos last year, it was the end of may. plus, they usually do something fancy at half point. i think this is just an update on the progress of half year.

Perhaps the sales of Startin will be balanced out by high sales of the new summer single?

Hopefully, this happens. :] /wish
