I can't believe Brandy doesn't have a thread already!

Brandy Rayana Norwood (born February 11, 1979), known professionally as Brandy, is an American R&B and pop singer-songwriter, record producer, fashion model, actress, and film producer. Born in McComb, Mississippi and discovered by Chris Stokes when she was a member of a youth singing group, Norwood released her self-titled debut album in 1994 at the age of fifteen.

Following a major success with Grammy Award-winning "The Boy Is Mine," a duet with singer Monica and her second album Never Say Never in 1998, a series of hit records established her position as one of the most successful of the new breed of urban R&B female vocalists to emerge in the mid-to late 1990s. The RIAA ranks Norwood as one of the best-selling female artists in American music history, having sold over 10.5 million copies of her four studio albums in the United States and over 25 million albums worldwide, to date. Additionally, she has won over 100 awards as a recording artist.

While maintaining a recording career Norwood also gained fame for starring in several film and television productions, including popular UPN sitcom Moesha (1996-2001), a supporting role in the 1998 horror sequel I Still Know What You Did Last Summer and starring roles in a 1997 version of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella and Double Platinum, two of television's highest rated special programs.

Human is the upcoming fifth studio album by American R&B singer Brandy, to be released online and in stores in the United States on November 11, 2008.The album marks Brandy's debut on the Epic Records label, following her split with Atlantic Records in 2005.

Brandy has been working on her fifth studio album on and off since 2005. The project involves a wide range of producers and songwriters such as Rodney Jerkins, The Neptunes, Kerry "Krucial" Brothers, Soundz, Greg Curtis, Toby Gad, Crystal "Cri$tyle" Johnson, Claude Kelly, Kara DioGuardi, Tim & Bob, RedOne, Jim Beanz, Rockwilder, WyldCard, Bryan-Michael Cox, Midi Mafia, and Brian Kennedy, as well as musician Natasha Bedingfield, Tonex, Taio Cruz, and violonist Josh Vietti. The album's leading single, entitled "Right Here (Departed)," premiered on August 14, 2008 via Brandy's official website.

I'm so excited! Right Here (Departed) and Fall are just amazing! Apparately Natasha Bedingfiled is recording a song with Brandy. I wonder how that will sound!

ah~ I remember Brandy. it is good she is finally releasing something new for a change. I hope her songs have a similar composition to Full Moon, I love that song! Right Here sounds great. Dark Child is awesome, he also worked with the Spice Girls.

Brandy has a wonderful voice. I really do like her as an artist. Never Say Never was just a great album, and What About Us? is one of my all time favorite songs.

Right Here (Departed) entered the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs at #70 last night! And Monica's new song is eight positions lower. Do I see another rivalry between fans happening again?

Always with the smart comments. She "got away with it" because she was totally honest about the whole thing and never denied it wasn't her fault. She was driving thespeed limit on the freeway when cars infront of her suddenly braked. She didn't notice until it was too late and crashed into the two cars infront. It was an accident. She had tests done and she didn't have any alchohol or drugs and wasn't using her cell or anything. Accidents happen every day. People made a bigger deal out of it because of who she is. Brandy even offered to pay for the damages, the police considered getting her done for manslaughter, but in the end decided to let her go because she was so "fantastically cooperative" with them. She could've been openly denying it was her fault to try to save her career but she didn't, and that deserves respect.

^I've never heard that album. In fact, I didn't even know she released it. I stopped at Full Moon which was an awesome awesome album. I'm sad for her because I feel her music is so underrated now. Her last few stuff barely got played on BET. >_> I really hope she heavily promotes this single and her new album.

I would definitely suggest it, it's very solid. I gave a listen to the new single and it's strong itself although it's very "Brandy" I have to say.

I karaoked to "the boy is mine" the other day, SO FUN! What a great song to do karaoke to I love Brandy!

I've always liked Brandy, it sucks how it takes her FOREVER to release albums though. All of her albums had a four year gap! Except Full Moon and Afrodisiac which was two years :<

Brandy never murdered anyone. Murder is not accidental.
