Who choose the songs that Ayu will perform in every tv programme?

It's, in 99% of the cases, for promotional purposes, thus she will perform the latest single or latest tracks.

As for which song to perform in order to promote a coming album I don't know. Ayumi probably discuss it with the staff at avex until they have an agreement. This time it became JEWEL. Either that, or JEWEL was the only track that was finished at the time, the only track she and the band had practiced to perform, or something.

And, of course, the most popular songs such as Trauma, Boys & Girls, UNITE!, and/or Humming 7/4 are usually performed. Mostly songs in which the audience can participate (no?).

^ Those are more concert favorites rather than songs that she would sing on a Hey!x3 episode or another variety show these days.

*cough* Why exactly can't any new songs (excluding Humming 7/4) be concert songs-favorites-blah? It's annoying hearing the exact same ones at every tour. And at the CDLs. omg.

It's because those songs have ties to the fans..

Whether it's a dance, or hand movements, those songs always stick..

evolution - WOW YEAH part
Humming 7/4 - everybody GO everybody JUMP!!
UNITE - armthing during bridge / guitar solo thing
Boys & Girls - portion during the 'laa laa la-a laaal aaaa' at the end
Trauma - the dance :p

i would say.. she will sing her latest song... i mean. if she releases a new song, she will most likely perform it. and if she doesnt perform her new song, den whats the new song for??

Don't forget that Humming 7/4 replaced flower garden/independent.

But as for concerts, it's Ayumi herself that picks it all, I'd say. Unless there's been some vote on TA, and Liar gets excluded. Heh.

CDL05-06 had flower garden I think though.. so the CDLs might be immune to solely containing Humming 7/4..

I think the people that go to CDL are long time fans, so that's probably why alot of older songs are played there...

But if the same band makes the song (?) Why they aren't able to play more than 1 or 2 songs?

It's almost never her live band recording the studio tracks, most of the instruments are synthesized or sampled by the arranger him/herself. There's one or two exceptions to this, I think, where members of her bands has participated in the recording.

The live band will have to practice for the song that they want to perform, although it's not hard to practice for more than one song it seems they don't choose to do that, they want to keep more material exclusive for the album I suspect.
