A BEST 2 Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan Version.

Hi guys. I would like to ask if anyone knows about this. I went to Sungei Wang today for Victoria Music Store. I asked the shopkeeper when will the A BEST 2 come out. He said he was just ordered both WHITE and BLACK. But, he said that I can order for both WHITE and BLACK to him. When both of them are finally here, he will call me to get them.

So basically, he said that I can order either Japan and Hong Kong Version but he suggested me to order Hong Kong Version because it's a lot cheaper than the Japan Version. Well, I didn't make up my mind yet at that time. So I told them I have to think about it first.

Okay, this is the question. Actually, what are the differences between Hong Kong and Japan Version. And, what about Taiwan Version of A BEST 2? I know that many of you have so much experience in something like this. Therefore, I sincerely need your help right now. Maybe after you guys clear this thing up, I might put "ordering A BEST 2 from them" in consideration again. Thank you so much for your help

I just came back form hong kong (8th)

HMV confirmed to me that only avex has released on japan versions, and both black and white versions had to be called back due to some printing error on the lyrics, so the release date for the black and white has been put later (mid march according to yesasia.) so i cant see how hong kong version is out yet

ummm the HK version quality is the same as japanese version. "less HQ booklet" is not correct.

But i feel that Japan version really does have better quality booklets. The papers are thicker, harder compared to hk versions.

I think the only difference between a HK/OS edition and a Japan edition is that the CD case is of a lower quality, I find this to be so especially with the DVD's.
Maybe yesaisa pack them really crap and they always break, but they never close properly, and they're just crap to be honest.
The CD cases aren't as bad, but CD and DVD cases (the bigger ones) are... not as good as Japan editions. They're more stiff? So don't open and close with 100% ease. LOL. But that wouldn't deter me from buying them.

I saw Taiwan versions on ebay and was going to buy, but i was in the same position as you! Taiwan were the cheapest, but does that mean the booklet will be less quality?

Overseas Versions are just as good quality as Japan Versions are. If you get a damaged box then its the shippers fault and you should always ask for shipment in a box when ordering from Yesasia.

Ive only recieved a damaged item once and that was a Taiwan version and the boxes are easily replaced to make the damage gone.

YesAsia doesn't seem to ship Taiwan versions (they ship HK ones for their Overseas marked CD's) but everytime I have bought an Avex TW CD on vacation in Taiwan, the quality has been the same as the Japanese one.

I have several CD & DVD in Taiwanese version and I have to say that I think the Taiwanese version is so much better than the Hong Kong one, (in my opinion though), but one thing I don't like about the Taiwanese version that the OBI is all in Chinese, not like HK one which exatcly just as Japan version.
