guys, anybody seen "MY WAY - 14th Golden Melody Awards" held and broadcasted premier on AZIO TV (Dong Feng) last August 2nd? It was a big awards event for music artist in Taiwan.
Alot of artists performed on stage, and one of them is the one who is rumoured to be the imitate of our ayumi hamasaki, JOLIN Tsai!
well, what i want to share with u guys is how she imitate Ayu this time. She performed her song 'gan wo 72 pien' with remix ala 'Britney style' and wear off her clothes piece by piece. (I feel that this is so Britney, and the remix too!). At the end of the song, she went to the higher stage and her dancer drag a long cotton/curtain, then a butterfly wing spread behind her. This is a real imitation of Ayu! Remember on Ayumi Hamasaki Dome Tour 2000, when ayu sung 'TO BE', This is what exactly Jolin want to be. Ayu turns to be butterfly, so did Jolin. Hmm... too bad i couldnt show u the pic of this. anyway, I'll try to post it if i found one.
So... This shows that Jolin is really try to imitate Ayu! Dont u think so?

btw guys...this has been brought up before...i dun think we should be attacking other singers....letz calm down i guess watz important is that we all support ayu...no matter wat otherz do...it won't affect our love for her....

besides...think more into how the music industries operate and u'll know that not all artists can control their style or wat they wear or wat they sing...many singers are just puppets of the company in today's real world....don't get me wrong..i'm not a jolin fan....sometimes itz just not fair to jump to conclusions without understanding the true cause or knowing watz going on behind the scene....

i dont think talking bad about a singer is right, anyone whos commited to what they do has a right to be treated with respect. If she is copying ayu, i dont blame her, ayu is after all a great singer/rolemodel, everything. Im not a jolin fan i never even herad of her but its still not right to go around bashing others. Last thing I wanna be is someone whos no better than people that bash ayu. >_<

i kno who jolin is for when she just started out being a singer.

When she just started out, her style is really sweet and cute, she has a repuition of A Hearttrob to Young Males in taiwan. Around 2 years ago when her dad got into this big argument w/the record company, the company "froze"(meaning don't give any shows, not putting out any new songs etc..) her + made her pay quite alot of money since she broke the contract w/them.
After that she's been on the news rumouring to going out w/jay chow. i remember in one of her article she states that she doesn't want her fans to 4get her.

And now her new album "magic- 72 changes", her new style is what many intiates say to be copying ayu, w/the golden/brown hair~ the fly high disc, and the butterfly wings


i guess jolin changed her image from a sweet girl who bases her songs on first love and stuff.. now well..... we can see.. it's more towards ayu's style......


Btw, she sang the Mandarin version of 98 degree's "Because of You"

anyway, mimika, and all, I didnt mean to attack other artist here. I just want to show that: "hey look, someone is doing exactly what ayu did, like no one knows about it, But we as ayu fans knows that she's copying ayu's method". I'm not saying how she dress or do the hair like ayu, my point here is she's doing a big performance in aziotv, and the performance looks like ayu, even it's really the same one.

anyway, thx for the miruku's story. Alot of chinese artists re-sing alot of western, japanese, and korean song. and dunno why, it's something that happen casualy in their music business. So about jolin copying ayu or whatelse u said about it, I agreed with mimika said. "not all artists can control their style or wat they wear or wat they sing...many singers are just puppets of the company in today's real world...."
