Where to request general music?

I must be really paranoid, I'm so afraid to make a topic in the wrong forum. XD

But where can I request music that's not Asian or Ayu?

You can't xD! Only asian and world music, no music you can get in the US

Any music that you can get in US is not allowed to be requested here.

I'd also like to ask question. Requesting music by Japanese singers who release their album in US is forbidden. Then, if this US singers releasing album in Japanese, and if I request for the Japanese version. Is it allowed?
(Like, Beyonce's B'Day album has Japan only bonus track, Creole, and afaik isn't released in any other version).

and since alot of Ayu's songs can be purchased at US iTunes its technically not allowed right? or has this been discussed before?

we don't want the staff banning asain music too.

You can share anything that is'nt licensed in the US. Even if an artist with an American record company does not release there stuff in the US, the RIAA will still hunt you down and kill you cause that artist is contracted to a US company.

same here, cuz there's the japanese version of evanescence's fallen, and they have some japanese-release-only songs on there

I doubt the RIAA (is that them?) well really care about that difference.

Can I request russian albums of Tatu? According to wiki they were not released in US (source)

I've been looking for them for so long through many pages and torrents but still no luck or no seeds. I saw people discussing them in one topic so maybe someone on this forum will be able to help me.

If I can do such a request then where can I post it?

Maybe just at the General Music Chat - I think that would be okay as long as you don't request to many, I think... I guess... I dunno

but you don't want to entirely trust me on this. XD; ask a staff member, it's your best bet.

I'm not one of the Downloads Sentries so I'm not an expert on how they've handled these questions in the past, but I think it'd be better to put all requests in Asian Music Downloads and not in General Music Chat.

If it hasn't been commercially released in the US it's okay, that's why things like unreleased Madonna tracks or British/French/etc. music have been uploaded. I seem to remember someone uploading Tatu's Russian albums before, same thing for them. If someone like Beyonce has a Japan-only bonus track, I'd imagine that can be shared too.

You could use RIAA Radar to try to find out whether the album/song you want has been released in the US.

Yes, it's been released in the US. I could very easily buy the album, I guess, and I know that's the right thing to do, but. ^^;;

It's actually from a Disney album, "A Goofy Movie" (and I know being that Disney is such a huge name I should ~~most likely~~ buy the album). There are four main songs on that album (On The Open Road, After Today, Stand Out, and I-2-I aka Eye to Eye). On The Open Road I already have from a different album (that I bought, thank you very much lol), Stand Out (which I downloaded), and the other two (ESPECIALLY I-2-I) I am searching all over the net.

I actually found a website where you can listen to a stream of the song, but I don't see any way of downloading it -- I think they want you to just buy the song/album.

Damn, if only I saved that last dollar on iTunes...

Actually...I bought their first album inside a Sam Goody's not too long ago. I don't know if that means it's licensed or they did a special order and the person ended up not wanting it, but I'd double check those Russian albums if I were you before requesting.
