On June 21st, information was clarified that model / actress / singer, Anna Tsuchiya, will be doing her very first Japanese world tour. Anna Tsuchiya loaned her voice for NTV's successful anime, "NANA," which broadcasted in many countries oversea. Because of this, a large amount of positive recognition was placed on Anna's incredible vocals. It triggered the scheduling for Anna to perform on June 30th in Long Beach, CA, at Anime Expo (the US's largest anime convention). From that, a tour has been developed for her to make an appearance in Korea, Taiwan, and Japan. And lastly, a best album will be released into 43 countries world wide.


Anna Tsuchiya is scheduled to perform in the US at the "Anime Expo," on June 30th. On July 27th, she will be in Incheon, South Korea; And in Taiwan on July 29th. A new song, "BABBLE TRIP" will be released on August 1st, and will be distributed world wide through iTunes.

well, i can't see her in concert, but at least i'll be able to watch it on DVD.

i want to know more about the BEST album. she's releasing it in 43 countries!? doesn't that seem a bit overly ambitious? i mean...not that many people outside of asia know about her, right? either way, i can't wait for it, anna is great. i'm really glad she's keeping her career going after nana.

yeah, i definitely think it would be pretty widely released in europe. probably the US too and a lot of Asia.

i'm very curious though, do you think it'll be available only via itunes? i don't understand how they plan to create enough hype for anna to sell her best album in 43 countries. its quite ambitious.

prolly won't...for bubble trip: there's a cd+dvd cover already out...
best album would prolly get more hype if there's a physical copy rather than just a digital one

I'm sorry but that's dumb about the US thing. How come all J-Pop performances in the US are at Anime Conventions? Not everyone who likes J-Pop likes Anime, and vice-versa. And they're never anywhere but Texas or Cali (i.e. Koda Kumi, now Anna). I'm not a fan, but I'd see her if she was performing near where I live. How about coming to Boston? Arghh...

that's why i'm sad that she's only performing at an anime convention and not in her own concert...
but then again most of her more popular songs (i think) are in nana...and nana's pretty popular, and an anime con concert would make sense cuz nana heavily relies on the music

Yeah, I agree, although Anna & Olivia performing at conventions I get cause they do have a lot of Nana songs. But what about L'Arc~en~Ciel at Otakon, how many anime songs did they do, like 2?
