Thinking about dl'ing some albums
Well, although I have the popular songs from A Song For XX, LOVEppears, Duty and I am... I never actually listened to the full albums. I also have heard NOTHING from MY STORY.
Are these worth the time, especially MY STORY? Because I've heard some rather bad things about that album.

In my opinion MY STORY is a very bland album.
LOVEppears, Duty and I am... ARE amazing albums. Same with A Song for XX. The album tracks for all of these albums are just wonderful, a side from I am..., I have to say I think the album tracks from I am... are kinda' boring ._.

You didn't mention if you'd heard RAINBOW. If not d/l it. AMAZING (although not everyone agrees
 )MY STORY has some good parts, but there is a 4 song section that to me is soooo boring, and kills the whole album.

I actually like the MY STORY album a lot. The instrumental interludes are not her best but otherwise the songs are quite good. I like how it starts off really edgy and rockish, slows to ballad songs like "happy ending" -- "walking proud" and ends off on a happy pop note with "replace" and "honey", etc. I recommend it.
(miss)understood is my personal favorite album though, with Duty being my least favorite. LOVEppears is a close second favorite of mine; I'm very fond of RAINBOW as well and I regard I am... as a good album, but it's not at the top of my list of Ayu's best. Secret is in between RAINBOW and I am... in terms of quality for me. A Song for XX is decent, but IMO Ayu's voice was not developed enough back then.

Oh, I have the full RAINBOW, (m)u and Secret albums and I love them all. I just wanted to know about the first four, basically. =)

Ahhhhhhhhhh, then LOVEppears is a must. Seriously, any song on there could have been a single. If you like the one's you've heard then d/l the full album.

I love MY STORY album too and the first I did purchase.
It has a great flow, specially the theme tracks help it (WONDERLAND going from optimistic, strong mood to sad mood, and kaleidoscope for bringing back to optimistic mood, up-beat mood). And it has Moments which is awesome, GAME, About You, Replace, HOPE or PAIN and such awesome songs! My 4 most favorite of ayu though are LOVEppears, I am..., Secret and Duty. All of ayu's albums are highly worth a listen.

i've listened to MY STORY. i thought it was a good album, but you'll need to decide for yourself if you like it or not. it's all up to you.

I personally think (apparently against popular opinion) that MY STORY is an excellent album, but nothing compared to RAINBOW. ^_^ That album is amazing and will always be my favorite Ayu album, unless she happens to blow it out of the water. *cough*probably not*cough*
 As for the four you mentioned, I have selected songs from the three of them (as I didn't like the entirety of them), but I am... is a great album. ^_^

well, memorial address is called a MINI-ALBUM for a reason...
a song for xx is kinda weird, cuz alot of people think most of her songs sound the same in it LOVEppears...not very memorable to me... duty has alot of good songs and alot of non-memorable songs i am.. has a few good songs...but i remember all of the songs, which is weird, cuz i never dlded the full album till i realized i was missing it. then i listened and realized all the songs i've already heard rainbow is a pretty good album, too, i think it's one of her best i do agree with riozz that memorial address is too short, but it's pretty good even if it is a bit short my story is a mixed opinion album. not alot of people like it. i'm in the middle, leaning towards good. alot of tracks are good (though a constant least-fave track is HONEY...) but happy ending and hope or pain are pretty good album tracks (miss)understood is an ok album. alot of songs i don't remember though (the exceptions are single tracks, the two album tracks with pvs, and tasking <3) secret is prolly one of her worst albums. most tracks are forgettable (EXCEPT KISS o' KILL!!), but the interludes are very nice that's my review...nothing much to say otehrwise

If IMO, anything after Memorial Address is excellent.Her vocals are just well ranged and different styled, mature, strong, or cute^^. RAINBOW....man, why do people love it so much?? To me, it's just a nice album that really made her career reach it's peak i guess. but It's a brilliant album, genius even, but to me it's no where near my fave. I like all the songs on it but nothing says"That's the best song EVER", well except HANABI i guess....and maybe Voyage. It was just a so so album, the music and vocals, meh. They were good. But nothing on the album struck me as "Wow, Miss. Ayu is a great talented singer with growing maturity yet a childishness about her". All her more recent albums have more of a different style that shows some kinda maturing process and i love it.
But if you wanna look at lyrics, any album would do. ASFXX was really good especially with the lyrics. So was MA.

omg, MY STORY is one of her best, if not THE best.
Every single track on that album is awesome, except for INSPIRE. I hate that song. Haha, most people like it though, so I think its just me. I'm not too fond of Moments either. It's an alright track, but compared to the other songs, it's just....bleh. EVERY other song is really spectacular on that album tho. MY STORY ftw.
