Unable to get Ayu-related article in Malaysia
Hello everyone, in case some of you might not recognize me, I'm Isaac, one of the oldest member in AHS.
My current position is admin, and also being unofficially-self-titled the Chinese-English translator of ayumi articles -- I hunt for Chinese magazines that feature ayumi and spent some good hours over them, translating them, and then scanning them at my own expense. However, I'm not here to talk about the cost, I'm talking about it's very hard to get such magazines like SWEET, POPTEEN or other Taiwanese Magazines feature ayumi in Malaysia right now ![]() Currently Ayumi is still considered widely unknown in western countries, so my duty is to provide translated articles from Chinese, which more widely available, to English. My source was always from Kinokuniya, because so far they are the only ones who can get timely magazine issues from Taiwan, again, forget about the cost...... each issue is equivalent to my 20 days' lunch money. So now I'm like "out of job", and since I'm being bugged down by my work, I can't even perform my duties well. Since I can't come here all the time, I still wanted to say that I'm still being able to translate. If you want me to translate something from Chinese into English, you can just email me. |

Sir, I think you are awesome. I'm studying Japanese, and hopefully I'll find some time during college to translate. I'll be coming back from Japan to California on the 18th chockloaded with Ayu-mags excavated from Japan's Bookoffs (I love Bookoff
). Seriously, I maxed out my luggage weight and then some. I can't imagine how much time you must have invested into translation...There were a bunch of vivis but they're too heavy...they only have the recent ones (2007 and late 06). I think someone has been scanning all the vivi dejidejis since then? I didn't know they appeared in every vivi until recently. |

you made me feel so bad. i can get my hands of those VIVI, Popteen, Cawaii, Scawaii....... easily, they are not that expensive here. and i go to kino at least 3 times a month.
i bought Popteen and Cawaii every month. each copy costs around SGD$7, and since i'm a member i get 10% off. but i find it a headache to translate so many, i can't access AHS smoothly from my home computer, i can only post at work. but i can still scan them and email/pm them to you?

can you read mandarin? i have four newspapers pertaining to ayu (one that also has MISIA, anna tsuchiya in sakuran, and hana yori dango 2 on it), and when i scan it, i think it would be a nice read. 3 are about her glitter single, and one was about her A BEST 2 mag photoshoot outfit
