TOKYO ? Russian super pop music duo t.A.T.u. will visit Japan on June 25, with Japanese fans already getting excited about their concert.

One purpose of their visit to Japan is to produce a promotional video. About 3,000 Japanese fans will be used as extras during the filming of the video. Fans are also planning to gather in Shibuya wearing newly-designed sexy underwear.

The teenage dance pop duo became the biggest selling Russian act of the new millennium owing to a clever marketing strategy that played on the suggestive nature of the two singers' barely legal lesbian love affair. The fact that Julia, 18, and Lena, 18, both had boyfriends did not detract from the brilliance of the ploy.

The pair are well known because of their sexy fashions and musical performances. In their promotional video, the duo engages in extremely sexual kisses, which prompted British TV stations to ban the broadcast.
