Who is Lady Gaga?

Lady Gaga is an American electro-pop singer best known for her hit songs Poker Face and Bad Romance. Debuting in 2008, her first single Just Dance reached #1 in 6 countries and top 10 in over 15 countries. Her next single, Poker Face, reached #1 in 20 countries. In the UK, Poker Face was the #14th biggest selling single of the decade. Her first album, The Fame, garnered much critical acclaim for its retro style and Lady Gaga’s vocals. She gained more fans with the release of The Fame Monster, an eight track EP coupled with The Fame. The lead single from the EP, Bad Romance, has sold over 9.7 million copies worldwide. In 2011, she released Born This Way, the first single from her 2nd studio album. Judas followed, and The Edge of Glory, which she performed at the American Idol finale. With the release of the promotional single Hair, Gaga has four singles in the UK top 20, thus establishing the new record for most singles in the top 20 at once for a female artist. Quickly becoming the most anticipated album of 2011, Born This Way has been the subject of hype and has lived up to it with critical acclaim and sold over 200,000 copies in the first day, making it the fastest selling album of 2011 so far.

As far as the album goes... other than BTW and Judas, I only really like Marry the night. Oh and just when I thought I was getting used to the cover, seeing it in real life EVERYWHERE has made it so, so, sooo much worse.

I never liked the cover that much in the first place but when I was getting ready to buy the album & saw the cover in person...well, I pretty much changed my mind instantly & went with the special edition (the lesser of the two evils ). So apart from those few German words, Scheiße really seems to be gibberish (unless somebody here can identify the non-german words, google couldn't apparently...)

And to comment, the release was hyped up a little. I admit, I was caught up in it. But now, I think that this release is just alright. I don't get why Gaga was saying this was the album of the decade lol. Not very close to that. It's an enjoyable album no doubt, just a tad overhyped.
