Ayu AND Hikki today! <3

Gosh today was great . I ran into two cases of JPOP today in my school. First it was Ayu. I was in my media arts class(filming) and we were watching our webseries that we created. Well, one of the groups had Fly High as one of their music scores! It was a techno remix of some sort, I don't know which one exactly. I didn't have time to ask which person in the group came up with using an Ayu song. Maybe they just found it randomly but who knows?

As for Hikki, she was in my 7th period dance class today! We had dance finals, and we had to choreograph our own dances to the song of our choice. Well there's this girl that's really, REALLY shy. She never joins in on our exercises and just sits in a corner watching us. I didn't think she knew how to dance at all but wow was I surprised. She came up and plugged in her iPOD, and Hikki's Passion began playing! Her solo dance was AMAZING to it. I didn't know she danced so well.

It was nice hearing Ayu and Hikki at school ALL in one day.

OMG, that sound so cool, AyUta!

Did you talk to those people afterwards, to share interests and chat and stuff, since they are into J-pop as well?

I wonder if there's an old thread in this sub-forum that has thread like "Places you've seen J-pop stuff" or "J-pop stuff you heard where you live" (Or in your town / city / community).

I once heard Ken Hirai's "Pop Star" song playing in a Japanese restaurant. I thought that was really cool. I've never heard a J-pop song at all in so many years of going to those restaurants. -__-

Nah, I was too shy, but now I regret it because I really wanted to chat about Ayu and Hikki Too late now though, because I'll never see those people again probably. It was our last 7th period of the year

Oh ok, I see. I've never met anyone who liked J-pop in person before, most of the people I know who like it are from forums, lol.

If I knew someone else like J-pop (in person), I think I would be best friends with that person, lol.

^ Exactly. I don't know anyone else in person that likes JPOP except my best friend. Although...now she has a boyfriend and she's changed so much. She hardly listens to JPOP anymore and never talks about it with me unless I bring it up. Even then she is just like, yeah, uh-huh. It sucks.

*sigh*... I'm envious of you... You live in the US and actually get to hear something pertinent to, much less an actual song of, J-pop... The only time I see anything pertinent to Ayu or Utada is on the internet and on my iPod. I've never heard a J-pop song by coincidence like that. What's it like? (lol, jk)

But, yeah, now that I'm done complaining, that's pretty interesting. What kind of dance class was it? Just dance in general? And it really is too bad u didn't get a chance to talk to them, isn't it?

I know 3 other ppl who listen to J-music. But none of them are actually into it. They just listen casually. (like, one of them called Folder5's Believe rock... If any of you know that song or eurobeat, you'd share my pain)

I guess my time will come... And I apologize for ranting like this. I just get a little depressed that I'll probably never meet someone who likes J-pop...

I am alone too!!!

Edit: OMG AyUta I just checked your profile (I know a bit creepy) and your birthday's a day before mine!! And I'm 17 too!! I just thought that was cool

Yeah, I've only ever heard JPOP on the internet and my MP3 player up until the other day. It was just so surprising and out of the blue.

There are actually some people over here in my school that listen to JROCK also. JUST jrock. They have no idea of Ayu or Hikki, I'm sure lol.

Wow, that's so awesome! The only way you would hear J-pop in my school is if I was the one playing it!

I probably would've freaked the hell outta the people who played those j-pop tunes by running up to them and jumping up and down in complete giddiness..

I've only heard Japanese songs in Japanese stores...or in Japan, haha. I think the last time I heard one was when I was in the Bay Area in California in a little hyakuen shop or something like that, and the radio was playing Ayu's "Together When..." ^_^

Haha, every time I show one of my friends a JPOP song, they always kind of like think nothing of it. Like it's boring or something. Makes me mad too
