Hopefully some of the songs are fresh and original. I think maybe to title is a hint to the songs we should expect.

Days & GREEN have to be the freshest songs from her in a while when compared to Mirrorcle World, Talkin' 2 myself, and Rule. I can let Rule slide because it was specifically made to fit the Dragonball movie. Otherwise, I think she could have done something much better. Hopefully this album will be "next level" stuff. She's starting to lose her touch in my eyes. Days & GREEN will definitely help it out.

I liked all of NEXT LEVEL's singles but they weren't that fresh to me. Not counting SPARKLE since I haven't heard it yet. Still there are 13 tracks so that means 9 potential new tracks. There is certainly space for her to create a newer sound. I hope we get something fresher, but so far I like the way the album is sounding.

The title "NEXT LEVEL" is anticipating in itself, giving off that unexpected yet exciting feeling making you wonder, "What's to come?"

All of the previous singles were amazing and pretty new for Ayu's style. I sense a whole new direction coming from Ayu in this next album, and in a good way!

"Mirrorcle World" was the ultimate in fresh. It had a minute long introduction of a stirring orchestra; that unique marching beat; the xylophone was mystifying; the everchanging dynamics; the loud, serious rock intervals; the soothing and mysterious bridge; the suspension in her ad-libbing ("wow yeah"). All of it made the song certainly at a new level.

"Life," admittedly, was quite simple. However, I felt the direction she went in was different. It was a perfect song on her tenth anniversary single. I felt like it had that "10 years later, 10 years stronger, still alive" kind of feel/effect.

"GREEN" was completely new. It's been a while since we had that "oriental" sound, hasn't it? Anyway, the lyrics went in a whole new direction as well as the sound.

"Days" seemed like a typical ballad, but I feel something extra special in this track. When I say "typical ballad," I mean it has that "Ayu" style. However, it has that new/2008 sound that makes it, well, new. It was like a classic was revived, or even born. You know what I mean?

"Rule" is indescribable. The tempo is super upbeat, the lyrics are very powerful, the PV is new and different... Totally fits into the possible theme she's going for.

"Sparkle" is hard to judge, but it's quite anticipating as well.

So, YES. I think "NEXT LEVEL" will certainly be a new direction for Ayu. The next level in her music career.

I don't think so...
i think that ayu, she like to be married with her music style. i love her music, but i think ayu need to lear of madonna's carrier and make every album something different.
but that is very difficult to do for ayu, i don't know why

It'll be less actual songs when you count interludes and the intro haha.

I was counting the interludes in too. They are part of the whole package of the album and should contribute to the NEXT LEVEL sound, no? Still I want only 2 interludes at the very most. The beginning and somewhere in the middle.

I'm feeling her new sound in a while...
even if she realeased a lot of rockish tracks latelly, they really sound the same (they all have diferent rock styles influences by the way, like... Guilty album is very heavy metal influenced, and Secret rock songs are very "hard rock")

I NOPE it'll be "UP" a level, not "DOWN" since "NEXT" doesn't define that XD~
New design team plz~ XD I think that's one that needs going up XD~ lol, I'm kinda happy with her songs atm~ XD

If avex is smart and wise they will do it.

She has a new 'mixer' right? Nobita-kun? (whose undergoing "training"??)

Days has a really positive ballad feel which I have LONGED for Ayu to sing. Her ballads have been sounding sad. And Days has a magical touch...i dunno. It's generic yet gd.

GREEN is definitely fresh from Ayu despite having done Will (which never gained any spotlight). Its exotic.

Rule is a cool song. The tie-in made this song different from her other rock songs. It's much more upbeat, attitude. Though i can't say this is totally fresh...but I can't say its old too...(>.<). It just has a much rockier feel and edgier attitude. Its a tight song...*recalls*

Sparkle is gonna be fresh i noe it. hahhaha. (if those lyrics were true...then Ayu did something new for sure). Even though it has that electrorock from "everywhere nowhere"..and a mix of her LOVEppears style..re-living that is just great

IF, MW and Life are in (i hope Life isnt..but that will add variety too). MW is just pure magical. Its the most unique song she's ever had imo. Life is plain and simple, laid-back and has that country feel.

Well so far all her single songs have been very diverse.

Electro-Pop VS J-Ballad VS Oriental VS Western Rock VS Classic Pop/Rock.

When you compare to her previous singles, this is one of the most diverse single series.

E.g. GUILTY had Orchestra Rock VS Orchestra Rock VS Orchestra Ballad VS Orchestra Rock VS Bubblegum Pop.

I personally think that since MW she's just had a different sound, so I find the title quite fitting. I mean, can you imagine MW, GREEN or Sparkle on any of her recent albums?

Imagine Sparkle on MY STORY lol.
