does anyone know of a good composing program? one that has an easy to use idea, with a wide selection of instruments for composing....and it MUST have the grandstaff (treble and bass) i really need one for something im doing. *check sig*

OMG loooooool I've been wanting to do this for ages.
I came across KB Piano [Can be found at www.download.com ] and I've been using that recently. It's only a mere free trial, though, but it's very neat.
I actually wanted to work with more instruments, but you can change the sound and tone and etc., and can also record your compositions.
I'd love to know any other program, though.

If you have a Mac, you could use Garageband. I have read somewhere that Micro$oft is working on a program similar to Garageband for Windows.

^ there's something similar but not as good called Acid Pro for Windows; not related to GarageBand

I recommend the latest version of Fruityloops called FL Studio 6. It's soooo nice
It's more geared towards electronic music, but you can use it for pretty much anything.
