I know there's a few Kaya fans lurking around here, so I decided to make this thread.

Kaya's career began in 1999 as vocalist, under the name Hime. After his first band disbanded Hime joined ISOLA as vocalist and lyricist. They released a demo tape called Over... and a two track single called Egoiste Butterfly.

In 2001, he met keyboardist Hora at a concert of his band Velvet Eden, and together they formed Rudolf Steiner. Unlike most Visual Kei bands their music was completely electronic. The band released two demo tapes, in which their unique style attracted the attention of Mana, who signed them to his independent label, Midi:Nette, and changed their name to Schwarz Stein. Around the same time, Hime changed his name to Kaya. They then released two singles, Queen of Decadence and Current, as well as two albums, New Vogue Children and Artificial Halluciation, but in 2004 split up due to artistic differences.

Kaya and Hora remained on friendly terms. In April 2006, they once again collaborated on a one-off project called ANOTHER CELL and released a self-titled album, for which Hora wrote the music and Kaya most of the lyrics. Apart from brand new compositions, it also featured re-arranged versions of songs by Rudolf Steiner. In June 2006, ANOTHER CELL was performed live as part of Kaya's first concert as a solo artist. The concert was limited to 400 tickets, which sold out on the first day.

The following month saw the release of his first solo single, Kaleidoscope, followed in September by a second single, Masquerade. In December, he released his debut album, Glitter, and appeared at Kamijo's (Versailles) and Kanoma's (ex Fatima) three day Winter Romantic festival, together with bands such as Wizard, UnsraW, HIZAKI grace project and Sugar.

In February 2007 he had his first one man concert at Shibuya O-West and in April, he released his single Ouka Ryouran. In July he released the mini album Hyakkiyakou and a fourth single, Carmilla, followed on Halloween. He also starred as one of the protagonists alongside Sherow Artist Society musicians Kamijo, HIZAKI (Versailles, HIZAKI grace project), and Juka (ex-Moi dix Mois) in the rock musical Node of Scherzo.

Isn't Chocolat an amazing single~ Chocolat is such a wonderful song and the beat is terrific, and then coupled with POURRITURE NOBLE just makes it wonderful.

i havent realky had much chance to look into him (i dont have a comp right now), but ive been trying to keep an eye on him since i stumbled across some schwarz stein stuff on youtube a while back.

do you know of a streaming site for some of his newer stuff? like, youtube links or something?

I sing along to Chocolat so much. According to my Last.fm It's already in my top 10 most played.

I hope we get a full length PV too~ I love the dancing in the 'preview' and the two guys with him are very handsome.

I'm also thrilled about the re-recording of Glitter, since it's one of m favourite albums.

XD Kaya's so flamboyantly gay sometimes it's adorable, but apparantely at his meet and greet he's very easy to approach and talks a lot; and looks as pretty as he does in his pictures.

Yeah, I think he's just going to spruce it up some more, although I loved Glitter anyway. Maybe it's 'Cause he's using his higher voice more. I'd rather have a new album than a re-mastered one.

Maybe with the re-mastered Glitter we could get the full Chocolat PV? 'Cause when he played it at his live he introduced it as a preview so there just has to be more. I'd be disappointed if it just left like that.

Before I stae my opinions and such on Kaya. I want to say that i was one of the leaders in the Kaya thread on Gaia XD so ehh, ive stated my adoration and fandom before. Ive cosplayed as Carmilla Kaya and ill be doing Chocolat Kaya next (Damn hima nd his beautiful costumes) Ive followed him since the days of Schwarz Stein and Midi:nette. Ive kept up with both Hora and Kaya. I happen to like Kaya more. I adore this man. His music just makes me so happy and his lyrics are wonderfully inspirational.

I hope he never changes and continues to make music :3

I've followed Kaya since Schwarz Stein too~ I remember the day Mana announced he was working with them. I was like ZOMG *Spaz* I'm sure Kaya will stay in music, just like Mana will.
