[Tutorial] How to get Ayu to reply to you on Twitter

I've gotten tons of people asking me how I got Ayu to reply to me so much (I've gotten four so far, five if you count the one that was retweeted by CMJK), so I thought I would help you guys out a little.

1.) This is the most important rule: PAY ATTENTION TO WHEN SHE TWEETS. A lot of people I've seen don't do this, and just tweet her randomly throughout the day. Chances are, with the exception of Max who she's following, the only Tweets she'll see are the ones she's getting from people who see that she IS on at that moment. To make catching her easier, I recommend downloading something called TweetDeck. You'll get notifications as soon as people (most notably Ayu) Tweet. I also recommend making a list JUST for Ayu so you don't miss any of her tweets amongst the people you're already following and vise-versa.

2.) This may seem trivial, but it helps if you have a good username. Ayu has over 100,000 followers now. She's not gonna remember the people with usernames like "ayu24959" etc. I got lucky in that my username is one of her songs EXACTLY, and I think that's why I got the replies that I did. Do your best and make yourself stand out to her.

3.) Going with what I said above about standing out, the last reply that I got from her, she noticed I changed my picture, so I think she can view our profile photos too. So in addition to your username, try to have a unique picture as well. Having pictures of Ayu herself will probably creep her out.

4.) AYU'S ONLINE! What do I do now? Simple: spam her like mad. A lot of people (myself included) are feeling bad about this, but really, when you think about it, Ayu's got over 100,000 followers. I can't IMAGINE how many Tweets she gets when she's online, so chances are, if you only send one, it'll get buried probably instantly.

5.) Even though we're spamming her, don't send her stupid Tweets. If she DOES happen to notice you, you don't want it to be something stupid like "AYUAYUAYUAYUAYUAYU!" Make it something interesting to her that she'll wanna reply to if she does happen to see it. Even if you have to send her the same Tweet 20 different times for her to see it once, don't worry about it, because like I said, you'll probably get buried pretty quickly unless you do this.

6.) Unless you know Japanese, I would NOT recommend Tweeting to her in Japanese, especially if you're using Google translation. Google SUCKS and will most likely make her go wtf - like CMJK did with me, lol. Clearly, Ayu knows English, and she even said the Twitter was to help her speak to us in it, so use it!

7.) Most importantly, don't give up! Remember how many followers she has now. I'm pretty sure my first two replies I only got because she had 50,000 at the time (plus I mentioned A WORLD IS ONE). Don't let this discourage you; it just means you have to try twice as hard.

EDIT: One thing I forgot to mention: if you're using TweetDeck, go to the settings -> colors/font and make sure international font is checked off down at the bottom. This is so you can see Japanese characters; otherwise when Ayu writes something in Japanese, it'll just turn up blank.

I did tweet her many times when we were "only" around + 10.000 followers and never got a tweet back, I saw the new number of follower today and now I don't even hope anymore lol

And as I'm very lucky I send all my tweets and what ... she reply to some other and hop leave, I always come on twitter when it's over -_- she already left T-T

I was using the same strategy, but she didn't answer me then, maybe because I've sent her only 40 messages in 3 hours. I think it's too small amount, but 've tried to tweet her when she was active

I don't think the icon thing matters much.. she's replied to people with icons of her ^^

I think my poo is scaring her! (avatar image xD) hahaha I got this feeling that it might be my picture and she might think oh he's a joke or something... I won't be changing my pic just because of that, it's my signature so I'll just try to get and answer someday!

Ummm. Ayu haven't replied on one of my tweets yet but here's a tip anyway
Don't send her a tweet when she just tweeted something wait for 1-3 minutes.

Another good tip is to subscribe to her tweets via phone - you'll get her tweets automatically sent to your phone. You can immediately reply to them, and hopefully get a reply back from Ayu!

...though, I've tried subscribing to her via phone, and I haven't gotten any of the updates, haha. I'll have to look around Twitter to fix that.

and I got 4 answers for now...

the first one she ignored my question (I asked her if she was gonna say soon the surprise she talked about in vivi) she just said me "hey aura, how r u!" because she noticed I was in london... The only time she said sth related to what I was saying was when I said I was gonna send her strenght from Spain for her Osaka concert LOL

Just try, and try and try! dont' think she will think you are sending her too much tweets! she just can't see them all!!

and I also think it's better if you write in english... even if you know japanese... we are probably not even the 20% of her followers XDD an english messages stands more ^^

Does one tweet the same thing over and over again until she replies? I don't really know how twitter works and only have a basic idea. I'm just afraid she'll see you tweeting her massive times in a row and totally ignore you, even amongst all the other tweets she's getting. Is it not possible this could happen?

I don't think so, because as soon as those other tweets come in, one of your tweets will just likely scroll right down her phone before she can even blink. haha~

I personally don't do that, though. Ayu just replied to whatever she felt like in regards to me.
