Avex needs to take a seat and stop being a c**t

I swear...

I'm F- tired of them and they stupid copyright complaints. It has become impossible to get to know Ayu. I'm trying to find videos to share with my friends since they have shown interest in her after singing some of her songs in karaoke. It's so damn frustrating that we cannot have the damn complete videos in youtube instead of the shitty short versions with even shittier video quality. No wonder she's losing popularity, every time you upload video of her those assholes take it down like WTF Avex, how are we supposed to show Ayu to others. And Jpopsuki TV is banned in Japan or at least in my share house.

Bottom line: Avex is poison.

um dailymotion has some stuff... i mean if you google her songs you can find vids of those on other websites.

Avex is an ass at this point. It's strange how you can for example find GACKT's stuff on youtube in full even though his newer works also go with Avex. I just don't quite get their copyright stuff sometimes... Maybe it's because they have the management of Ayu's too so that they are so strict, or maybe because she is directly with Avex not their sublabel. It's the same with Kuu, too. Actually it's pretty difficult to find jmusic pvs on youtube now. You can still get some rock stuff but that's about it.

I have also seen Ayu videos on vimeo.com (but that was years ago. They may not be there anymore).

^ Jpopsuki TV is blocked in Japan D: (I can only access it when using a VPN)

I agree, this is really is annoying, because now a days artists get more popular by people viewing their stuff on youtube, that's how k-pop is getting more and more popular, but Avex keeps removing Ayu's (and many other artists') videos... I suppose it's to make people buy the CD+DVD versions, but it's really frustrating when you want to show their stuff to someone and you can't find their MVs on youtube (Youku or Tudou not always work for everyone)...

I don't think 100% of all the blame should be placed on avex & they're not the ones that started to do the whole short PV versions of artistes . Rather it's actually Johnny that did so

Prior to this , no record labels was doing the short PV version until Johnny did so with ARASHI's truth 6 years ago . And since then , other labels have followed suit

It is really annoying.

It's almost impossible to find her stuff now, there used to be this joy I felt before--finding new videos. Anyone who would want to become a fan now would never have that feeling haha.

It's weird that Exile and AAA, for example, will get full vids. But Ayu, Kuu and Namie all get short ones. I don't get it. Having short videos instead full length can't be making Avex THAT much more money.

^I always felt like the japanese music industry as a whole do the best to keep their market in Japan, and makes it the harder possible to people from other countries to access their artists material.

AKB48, Kyary and maybe Perfume being the exceptions...

Well, they used to have full videos on YouTube before they decided to cut it to short versions You still can find a lot of live performances in YouTube too, Avexnews's twitter (@avexnews) often posts the YouTube link of A Song is born performance from POWER OF MUSIC, which was uploaded by a fan

At this point, all I do when I'm trying to get someone into Ayu via YouTube is show them live performances, since her concerts are where she truly shines imo.

As someone said, I think the lack of PVs is to promote CD+DVD versions. You're going to have to settle for short versions. But, I still view Avex as being too traditional and short sighted (something I've seen be said for Japanese businesses in general). Actually, I could extend that complaint to many other music industries...

It used to bother me but then I kinda figured that it's their content and they can protect/do what they want with it. They paid/invested in it.
