whats the best ayu song to listen to when wearing good headphones?

Just got my first good studio monitor headphones and holy a lot of her songs are amazing. Listening to end roll and panned to the right is a synth I never knew was there. The guitar also sits so nicely in the left etc.

Anyways anyone who can relate whats your favourite ayu song with a pair of professional headphones on? To be honest I think mine is JEWEL. Holy shit its so simple and coming through these headphones the piano is that much nicer and that sound effect is a lot more prominent

I like listening to Love song when I was on ear/headphone while riding the bus. It's like... an indescribable feeling. I felt like I was reviewing my whole life. You probably should try listening to NEXT LEVEL tracks too as they played a lot of with the sound.

Can I ask what kind of headphones you bought?

For me, I love listening to BALLAD or talkin' 2 myself through headphones. BALLAD especially; it's so easy to lose yourself within the music.

Rock tracks of hers sound incredible with good pair of headphones. Endless sorrow, HEAVEN is gorgeous. Daybreak, forgiveness, count down (that one has some very rough guitars that just get in your ears really roughly), Love song (both original and A classical versions), Heartplace, Born to be, Last minute (the guitars killed me in it, they are sooooo rough plus the piano in it works so good with them, it's my fave instrumental combo for headphones), Walk, You & Me (A classical version) are also worth a try. I also enjoy Sexy little things & Eyes Smoke Magic because they're really quirky with sounds lol Bye Bye Darling sounds really good on headphones too, Also Wake me up, Brilliante, progress . A lot of her songs are brilliant for that. Songs that have rich arrangements/ or are heavy and have quite a bit of bass in them.

Everybody above me made some good suggestions.

I really love listening to INSPIRE with good headphones!! The first ~30 seconds blows my mind every time.

Edit: may I also suggest "Not yet"?

I love listen to her music with good headphones I hear a lot of little details I don't hear without them ! When artists like Ayumi have rich arrangements it's totally worth it !

Some ballads would really sound awesome with great headphones, I usually like to check headphones with up beat songs like Lelio, Sparkle, Ladies Night, Terminal, Fly high (HAL'S MIX 2000) or even rock songs or songs with richer arrangements like About You, Rule and the bunch of powerful ballads.

Most songs of ayu are rich though, it's because I love beats that I go for the up beat ones.

Kinda of topic but can you guys recommend me a pair of good headphones ?
I am using an iPod whenever i am away from my pc and i have recently bought a pair of Sony"s headphones. http://http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-MDR-E9LPD-AE-In-Ear-Headphones-Walkman/dp/B00FDQK55Q
They are not anything ground breaking but the sound is ok.
And i am not willing to spend anymore than 30 to 40 euros on a new pair so if anyone has a good recommendation do help

Cool

I think pretty much all of her songs are amazing on a wicked pair of headphones. Especially the updated mixes, say, on A BEST 2.

Also, I feel November is really great on a good pair of headphones. For me, I can get lost in the composition of the strings beneath her voice.

Really, you just need to listen to her entire discography on a good pair of headphones, and of course, they need to be high-quality rips. If you have not done this, you have not truly experienced her music in its full capacity.

I have the audio-technica ath-m50 over ear headphones. For their price I think its arguably the best quality you can get without spending a shitload on audiophilia.

And ya these are great suggestions. Thanks guys!

I always get chills when I listen to Merry-go-round on headphones.

RAINBOW is also especially haunting.

"poker face" sounds really good on my headphones. The version on A COMPLETE, which is remastered, makes it sound very crisp and clear. It sounds amazing! The remastering brings the song to a whole new level of listening experience.

Same as "For My Dear...", I noticed a big difference when I listened to it on my headphones, the A COMPLETE remastered version.

You should try CAROLS too. The re-mastered version from A BEST 2 (or even A COMPLETE but I choose to have the BESTs on my iPod rather than the COMPLETE). In highest quality. It's miraculous how drastically my opinion regarding this song has changed over the years. I used to really find it quite a snoozefest! But now, I truly adore it! I find it so powerful where as before I felt it had no power at all.

It is best to listen to this song when the snow is airy and light - just floating along the molecules in the air oh so gently, as if in suspended animation. That is when you listen to CAROLS. It's the perfect atmosphere to reflect the environment created within the song itself.
