Your ayu Classics Post 2006
I opened this thread because I felt the urge to check how and if fellow people who like ayu has a feeling of a classic/masterpiece feel of songs of ayu POST 2006-POST (miss)understood.
Like the classics for the Japanese audience are songs like SEASONS, M, evolution, Dearest, Voyage, BLUE BIRD etc. (since ayu has a lot of classics from her first years so the list is long) and I actually share the same feeling towards these songs as the Japanes audience, and I think that they are masterpieces, but as we know, not a lot of people stayed and the reasons don't matter. The question is, what songs are considered classics, or masterpieces personally by you, to your liking. Which songs are ayu classics, and are awesome music and represent ayu for you post 2006 and (miss)understood? The question is about everything that was released after (miss)understood. I know that a lot would think that I have too many classics, but I think that I love everything about this list of songs that for unlimited number of reasons they are considered classics for me: Startin' 1 LOVE JEWEL Marionette Mirrorcle World Rule Sparkle Sunrise ~LOVE is ALL~ Don't look back Microphone Sexy little things Love song Last angel BRILLANTE Party queen reminds me Return Road Tell me why You & Me Wake me up SAKURA petal Feel the love These are my personal ayu classics that were created post 2006/(miss)understood

Classics, as in songs that I don't think I'll ever tire of and will continue returning to are:
kiss o' kill Mirrorcle World GREEN Rule Love song crossroad Last angel Virgin Road BRILLANTE Then there are many songs that I love, like on R'n'RC, but I don't think I'd give them the same status as the ones above.

I sometimes look at classics as possible concert staples and You & Me keeps hanging around! Haha!
Classics for me as a fan: -kiss o' kill- This song just kicks ass whenever she (rarely!) performs it. This song contributed to me becoming a fan so I will always love it. -Together When...- This song is just so beautiful to me and she sings it with such honest emotion that I don't need to speak Japanese to understand the message. -Mirrorcle World- The Asia Tour 2008 performance is over the top but amazing as diva Ayu rocks it! -Rule- If it wasn't for this song, I don't know if I would have known about her. Just the rumor of it made me go explore her discography. -Microphone- When she performs this song, she makes you stop, listen, and watch from beginning to end. No one commands the stage like her. -Love song- I feel like this is one of her newer classics that packs a punch. It seems to have stuck around at concerts. -progress- I think this song shows something that Ayu is good at: starting soft and building up to this loud bombastic moment of awesomeness. -BRILLANTE- Each time I listen to it, it still has that epic haunting feel it gave me the first time I heard it. I have a severe rocker Ayu bias when it comes to my personal classics. As for her post-FIVE releases, I don't feel like there has been enough time for the songs to develop a classic feel like her older hits. You & Me is the only one of the post-FIVE releases that warrants the term classic because she has not stopped performing it since we first heard it. It's not my favorite of hers but dang it, sometimes I can't help but get up and start dancing when I hear it!

While I'm certainly appreciative of her efforts and concepts, I don't particularly like any of them. I also think recent Ayu gave me a real appreciation of all the raw, melodic rock songs.

I know it said personally, but im gonna list the ones that i personally feel are top tier, as well as in a public view. Sort of gives it a more classic feel than personal preference to me.
