Franz Ferdinand? Anyone?

Is there anyone here who likes Franz Ferdinand? They are my favorite band OF ALL TIME and no one I know has ever heard of them...(the fools). Also, as anyone seen the "This Fire" video? Alex Kapranos is so hot in it...

HELL FRELLING YEAH!! I was gonna make this thread awhile ago but didn't/!

They're amazing.. I love them so much. Their album is great, they're great. Some songs of theirs remind me of the Beatles ("Don't Start").

My mom loves them too

Oh, if you like Franz Ferdinand, you'll probably like The Killers as well, they're album is great too.

I need to take a picture of my in my Franz Ferdinand shirt

sxesven - have you heard their album?? if not give me a PM and I can hook you up ^^ (ditto for anyone) I can also give you songs that aren't on their album, if anyone wants them.

Alex is indeed pretty fine ::droools:: I haven't seen that video yet, my mom says it on their website, but all I saw was "Take me Out", "Michael", "Darts of Pleasure", and "Matinee"

I'm not into them much, I heard "This Fire" in one of my games, sounds awkward but kinda addicting.

YES! I haven't heard a lot of their songs, but I really like the few I have!

Cause, it's better in the matinee, the dark of the matinee!!!

Haven't seen This Fire but I have seen the vids for Matinee and Take Me Out. Franz Ferdinand is so AMAZING. I bought their CD after hearing just one song (Matinee) adn the whole album is just incredible. I've recommended them to a lot of people, and they all came back saying that they are fantastic. Apparently they are awesome live...

Well.. it's one of the only english language albums that I have purchased in a looooooooooong while.. and I can listen to it straight through and love EVERY song.. so... HELL YEAH

It's weird, everyone I know who likes them says "Matinee" is their favorite. Not weird because "Matinee" is bad (it's my favorite too ) but because all their songs are really good so I would think they'd be more variety

lol Anyway, unlike most people I've seen here, I don't have any problem with English language albums, so I might go and try. Although James advises me not to. And I happen to trust James. Anything you could compare it to? (other than The Killers, whose name turns me off, since everybody these days has a bandname that starts with The).

Sooo hmmm... instead of forming your own opinion by listening to the album you're gonna to follow someone elses idea of what's good? I see how it is...

Some parts of their stuff reminds me of The Beatles, which I already, but other than that I don't know what to tell you, their stuff is way different than anything else I've listened to.

Not just someone, it's James we're talking about it.

Anyway, I do have an own opinion of course... formed after the Prophecies Of Thee Eternally Great James. I can think for myself... if James tells me to do so.

Beatles? Convince me some more. By all means, do so. I've been convinced into stranger things than Franz Ferdinand. I think.

Specific song?? Hell, I can give them all to you.

Hmm...as far as songs that remind me of The Beatles - "Don't Start" and "Tell her Tonight"

"Matinee" and all around good time. So is "Darts of Pleasure"/"Words So Leisured" (a bunch of their songs have more than one name hehe).

"Take me Out" is their single, and what really makes the song super fantastisch is the video.

I love "Jacqueline"/"Better on Holiday" - the opening is a great bit of lyric.

"All for You, Sophia"/"Bang Bang" is great if you're into history.

"Come on Home" is a song that my friend really loves. He was very reluctant to liking them, told me it wasn't his cup of tea and that he didn't really like the single. THEEEENN a month later he IMs me raving about them and that song.

"Shopping for Blood" is much darker, it's very good.

"Van Tango" is crazy fun

"Michael" is a kinda weird song, I like how Alex sings that song. Ayumihypermix loves that song.

Ummm... yeah.. I don't feel like going through ALL the songs, so I'll stop there.

Ask and you shall recieve (I'm not technically allowed to post the link on the forum).
