Does anybody feel like the begining of HOPE or PAIN sounds a little too familiar to the chours Joan Osboune song 'What If God Was One Of Us?" ?

For me, it always reminded me of "(There's Gotta Be) More To Life" by Stacie Orrico...I uploaded a clip a while back comparing the songs...maybe it's just me...

OMG that's exactly what i thought the first time i heard it!!!!! after the initial part of the intro, there's a few notes that sound like 'what if god was...', kool im not alone

It's one heck of a similarity when it sounds almost exactly like two other songs...coincidence, sure, maybe, but it's still pretty darn weird...

I don't think they sound alike, it's just the first 3 notes that has the similar tune, after that it's COMPLETELY different. I don't think the composer knows about the song "what if god was one of us", and he is not copying it for sure.

It sounds a bit like them, but that never ruined the song for me. I think it is a really great song!
