[Old] This is amazing (Kelly Clarkson)

Okay, if you guys don't know who she is, she is the winner from last year's American Idol. I don't know if any of you are fans or not, but DAMN! She had an autograph signing, it was supposed to be for 1 1/2 hours, but she stayed for 6 1/2 hours . Her management people told her to just stay for a while, but she insisted on staying until EVERYONE had an autograph, and she stayed until 1:30 am! She only took one 20 minute break to do an interview with Dateline.

I was just amazed at her dedication to the fans, and wanted to let you all know. ^_^ I think that was so nice of her.

wow... 6.5 hours!! I'd give up signing autographs after 1 hour! Her hands must have cramps now or something o.o !! Were you there or something, or are those just pics of the event? Either way, I can't believe she'd have that much dedication to do that... only famous people I've met are Julie Fox (a singer), Weird Al, All for One (a group), and the old red ranger from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers...

Nope, unfortunantly I wasn't there. I live in Southern California, that was in Texas.

Power Rangers... hahaha

My sis was a HUGE fan of that show and always had to watch it! Surprisingly, the red ranger came to the Emerald Square Mall (the same one I went to on Saturday ) and signed autographs for a few hours.. luckily, our parents thought ahead and we got there a bit before he arrived... although I hardly watched the show, I was surprised nonetheless to see him in person, and I think I still got his autograph somewhere

Wow, that's awesome! She looks beautiful in that poster. Kinda like Celine Dion. Kelly has such an awesome voice! She was my favorite, and I'm glad she won. I really want her album.

BTW, have any of you seen previews for that movie she's staring in with runner up Justin G? It's a musical, if you will believe that. And they make out and everything. It looks like pure cheese!

WELCOME BACK TO THE FORUM!

Anyway I never heard about that girl. Are her songs good? I've been so distant from radio these days so I'm really not update on other kind of music other than JPOP. She did a nice effort for her fans!! AMAZING!

I absolutely love Kelly's voice. Has anyone heard her newest single, "Miss Independent"? It's so catchy! I think she looks like Paula Abdul on the cover of her CD (coincidence?) I am hapy to hear of her dedication, she is shaping up to be a wonderful star!

That's cool that she signed stuff for 6 1/2 hours. I'm surprised that they didn't cut off the line or something like that.

I'm still not convinced that she can make it as a singer though. after "A Moment Like This" was released, everybody got sick of the song right away. If you look at previous shows that were very similar--Popstars, Popstars 2, Making of the Band--it seems like the winners of those shows have vanished from the face of the earth.

wow- Weird Al... I would love to meet him As for this person- eh, I don't like the idea of someone getting into the industry as a result of winning on a game show- I don't care if she's good or not- I prefer someone who makes it on their own merit, like Black Sabbath and Nirvana, who both toured heavily to get the fanbase they did- you never caught them on Star Search... and then the other question comes up- does this Kelly write any of her music- if she does that's wonderful, if not, she just another annoying pop princess that will be replaced in a year. I'm sorry but there are more than enough brittneys in the US.... it's time for a change, a new group that isn't afraid to write their own music and go against the AABA formula that dominates pop and rock these days (in other words, verse, verse, chorus, verse) or as is more popular way of looking at it, the bridge comes 3/4ers of the way through the song.... it's why I don't like American pop- it's all commercial, the artist rarely has any form of expression really.... it's all preset to sell

Have you actually heard her sing? I doubt it. Her voice range is incredible, and if you know anything about her background, you'd know that she struggled in Texas and Hollywood before American Idol, trying to break into the voice business. She recorded cds and sent them to label artists. She went to a lot of auditions. Winning this show was her big break, her discovery, I suppose. She was pitted against many talented kids, and won. I'm proud of her.

I don't watch American Idol But I do like the way Kelly sings. She has a new voice and her last single was very good. But the competition is tough with all the other artists who have been around more such as Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.

I think she'd be a good role model instead of some of the ones we have now. :/

REUBEN! hahaha... that guy's awesome! I'm still kinda surprised that he's gotten this far, but the audience loves him, and you can't blame them! He's got an awesome voice, and it just goes to show that image isn't everything, as demonstrated by the recent people "voted off American Idol Island" ..
