MP3 Player + Car stereo?

hey guys,

i have a simple 1gig mp3 player that i listen to like..always. Anyway, i was wondering if ther was a way to plug the mp3 player(or portable cd player) into my car to where i could hear the music from my mp3 player in my car speakers. i don't have a cassette player, and i don't think i want to pick apart my car. can anyone help please? thanks.

Either get a FM transmitter (they suck though, so i don't reccomend this), or buy a Head Unit with line in, or buy a Head Unit with cassette.

FM transmittor should cost around AUS$20, but for a Head Unit that supports line in you're looking at about AUS$250, cheaper ones don't have it, and a casette Head Unit should cost around AUS$50, for a decent one. To install a new Head Unit your car will need to be taken apart (easy though) so installation should cost about AUS$50.
