How long after does Japanese CDs come out in Hong Kong?

My friend is currently in Hong Kong, and I want him to get me (miss)understood there, but he is going home on the 3rd and I was wondering if it will be available in Hong Kong by then? Thanks if anyone can shed some light on it. xD

If you just want the Japan version, Hong Kong will have it available the same day as Japan or earlier. (sometimes as early as 4 days prior release)

Hmm but that WILL mean higher prices right? I'm not sure if I want that. XD I'd rather wait for an overseas version, but that comes out weeks later right?

If you want the overseas ver. I don't think you can get it b4 3rd.

Japanese versions will be the same no matter where to buy it, so there will be no difference in price.

The Hong Kong version however will be cheaper.

Hong Kong is cheaper than overseas right? But comes out a while after too? I guess I can wait til the store here stocks it. =p

Hong Kong version is Overseas version.

If you're lucky, the Overseas version might come out a day after the Japan version, like with Mika Nakashima's "Best". Though there's no guarantee that's going to happen.

Though if you know where to shop, the Japan version is infact sold cheaper in Hong Kong than the set retail price in Japan.

Hmm I'll tell my friend that, but he doesn't really know where to shop for J-pop. XD

I thought overseas and HK ver were different because I saw it listed as HK version on yesasia sometimes. O_o Oh well, I hope the overseas one comes out on 2nd. XD

i think I can help you... i buy my J-pop in hong kong... let your friend check out HMV stores... the biggest ones are in tsim sha tsui and central and almost everyone in Hong Kong knows where the HMV stores are... it's easy to get there by MTR. HMV sells both overseas and japanese editions... but jst so you know, the cd+dvd japanese versions are limited in Hong kong. Get them early! The hong kong records store in the ocean centre mall (again, everyone knows where this mall is... it's HUGE!) has j-pop, too.

I didn't want to start another thread so: I ordered my (miss) understood album from www.play-asia.com and it's the Japan version. Has somebody bought from them (they're in HK) and if so: do you think they'll get first press, because it didn't say anything about being the first press, it just says that's the japanese version with DVD...

You wouldn't want to shop at HMV unless you're prepared to pay for the higher end of the pricings.

There's HMV in Singapore too and the prices are outrageous, unless the cd is on offer.

i dont mind shopping in HMV... at least I'm sure that i'm getting what i pay for... Wouldn't wanna risk buying in smaller outlets where bootlegs are kinda common actually, the best place to buy really is online from somewhere like yesasia... and so far i've only seen the cd+dvd japanese versions sold in HMV and hong kong records.

japan cd out in HK BEFORE japan if you go to the right place. ususally they(japan version) out in HK a week before Japan although the price is higher(the leaked songs that you download from this forum are usually come from hong kong if they are not from PV).
(miss)understood officially on sale at 27th in Japan,at that day you could get a cheaper price(japan verison) in HK. if you ask for the overseas version, they will be on sale about 2 weeks after japan.
