theme of a nation'03 in cdl
hmm i just downloaded the theme of a nation'03 from countdown live, and i realised that halfway through the performance, ayu was singing the wrong lyrics for a few words and yet the "voice" was singing the right words. lip sync or what? >.< i hope not.

Yeah I saw that too! I dunno what happeneed though, probably just not in sync with the picture, cause CDL was broadcasted live, so she sang live, and besides theme of a+nation has to be the easiest Ayu song to sing, no high pitched vocals or anything, so I dont really see why she would lip-sync it

she also messed up with Heaven ( i think ) at minutes 3.05
it supposed to be "toki o koete" but she said " watashi o kaete "

i THINK she messed up Because of you too.. its suppose to be
"doushite tokidoki sunao ni ienai" but she sang "doushite tokidoki sunao ni narenai"

well she does change some lyrics when she sings them live.. i mean didn't she change them for a song for xx? i believe so! so it could be anything.

I played back the part you're talking about for "theme of a+nation '03" and to me at least, it doesn't look like Ayumi was mouthing the right syllables (so a glitch seems unlikely). She might actually be lip synching here because everything else seems to be timed fine (her arm doesn't change pace, only her mouth messes up)

I'm not sure if she's lip-synching, because the concert version is different from the recorded version...maybe there's a pre-recorded version playing in the background to add the "fullness" of the live, and even though she messed up it's still playing or something...

She doesn't lipsync, but ALOT of times they do what Kikaru said, they play it in the background. And since Ayu doesn't sing this song live, like, EVER, they may have been playing it for her to sing along to since it's entirely possible she doesn't remember the song totally. She messes up songs like Voyage, Trauma & Boys & Girls that she plays alot, so they were probably playing the song as backup just in case.

Yeah, she messed up the lyrics in other songs too (like Endless Sorrow...and she definately wasn't lipsynching then)
As for the lyric changes in A Song for XX, only early versions of the song have the original lyrics ("sonna fuu ni mawari ga ieba iu hodo ni"). She changed that line to "sonna fuu ni anata ga ieba iu hodo ni" fairly early on (ex. they're like that when she sings the song at the Dome Tour 2001).

maybe they edited some of the songs? but i don't think that would've made too much sense coz they could've edited all of them. ayu sang most of them well (on-pitch), but some of them (i.e. endless sorrow) were "very live". weird...
anyone downloaded the 4.4 gb file? is the singing in the 4.4 gb file the same as the one in the 1.4 gb file?

It's Ayu's lyrics, so I think she can change them if she wants. She wrote them, right? And plus remembering all those lyrics can be frustrating, I'm not surprised she sang the wrong lyrics or forget something

She forgot the lyrics to Boys and Girls and was like "La la la la la" *laugh*
Her expression lol Anyways yeah in theme of a-nation '03. I think they pre-recorded a "raw" version of the song and Ayu just lip-synched it. She messed up on the words and yet the song kept going. What was bad for her was they had to do a close up when that happened.

It definitely seemed like she lip-synched it. The other songs sounded obviously live while theme of a-nation'03 was more or less pitch-perfect. Kind of unfortunate. I was really looking forward to this performance
