[rumor] ayu-mi-x 5 =D

i was browsing the web & i found this
article on a korean message board. my korean is terrible but i will try to translate some when i get home from school today... i just though that i'd go ahead & post it. on the site it says that the following djs will be remixing ayu songs for ayu-mix-5: THE ORB,Jonathan Peters,
HEXHector,Thunderpuss,Club69,Eboman,HAL's,Izumi Miyazaki. There has already been a topic post here at AHS about Izumi Miyazaki finishing his remixes ! also, on the web site it says that there will be 4 versions of ayu-mi-x 5!

ayu-mi-x 5 Non-Stop Mega Mix」
ayu-mi-x 5 Acoustic Orchestra version
ayu-mi-x 5 US+EU version」
ayu-mi-x 5 JPN version」

i am excited! i like the AOV versions much better that the non-stop mega mix version. i cannot wait to hear the AOV of we wish & rainbow (suposing thoes are on there) i must go to school now!

OOOOH!!!

*excited* I REALLY hope this will be more than a rumor!! Mixes from people like Hex Hector are pretty good, but if there'll be remixers like Armin, Ferry, Lance, etc .... then perhaps this will be the return of my Ayuism! My only hopes are that it'll be released soon (if at all) and that it won't just be some repackaged version of a previous mix with one or 2 new songs.. but other than that, <-- me ^^

hmm... wouldn't the JPN version be the same as the Non-Stop Megamix?

And nice avatar, Impact ... I was watching some of Saint Seiya some time ago.. isn't Taurus one of the evil Saints controlled by Hades? oops.. going OT ^^

The JPN version wouldn't be the same as NonStop Mega Mix. The JPN version would be full length songs. Remember Ayu-mix 2?

As much as I would like to, I'm not getting my hopes up about this rumor. Avex has been having such crummy and slim releases from Ayu lately, that all these Ayu-mix 5 releases don't make much sense to me. We've seen hardly any remixes for any of the 'Rainbow' album songs. If it's true, then that would be pretty awesome, but I'm game just to settle for a Nonstop Mega Mix and an Acoustic Orchestra version like we've seen the past two times. Thanks for the news!

aha.. *has a flashback to Ayu-mi-x 2* I see now...

Perhaps this is some new revival towards getting Ayu popular again (not that she ever wasn't ^^), but maybe Avex finally sees that with the right marketing, they can do much with Ayu ... and although this rumor has yet to be confirmed, just the idea of it makes me giggle like a Japanese school girl.. haha

You could be right, but I never saw remix albums as Ayu's stronghold. Where are the new singles?

NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate to break it to you, but there is no way Avex would release 4 new remix albums. Avex is EXTREMELY intelligent when it comes to money. Ayu-mi-x IV did horribly in sales, and I HIGHLY doubt Avex would risk a ton of money in making 4 remix albums. They wouldn't pay a bazillion dollars to get 4 albums worth of remixes and have such a huge risk of the albums being a flop. Avex has dropped the 10 track singles, so I highly doubt they'd spend the money for a 4 album Ayu-mi-x V series. If the last 2 album-Ayu-mi-x IV sold really poorly, why would they expand Ayu-mi-x V into 4 albums? There's no way Avex would risk so much money. Doesn't make sense to me.

I'm not saying that there won't be an Ayu-mi-x V, but the likelyhood of having 4 albums is very very very very very very very very very very slim, in my opinion.

I completely agree. If this becomes true I will be in utter shock.

On the other hand, Avex has been doing some weird things lately (like having Ayu release two albums back to back), so maybe.... I really don't know.

i dun know much about the japanese musical industry as in the commercial sense so i dun know wat kinda decision would avex likely to make that suits them best and make the most profit, but i have to agree with grant that ayu-mi-x IV isn't the best seller of ayu's remix album and it seems that ayu's recent albums ain't sellin as good as those before...however, bear in mind that the economy isn't very strong in japan now, while ayu still being avex's best selling artists, itz reasonable for avex to wanna squeeze out as much as they could from ayu before the end of the life cycle of a japanese idol, however, i really dun know enough to comment on the truthfulness of the news.

however i do hope that the news would be true

what grantith said makes sense...

but i just wish it's true that ayumix 5 will be released in 4 version
since the extended or full length mix wasn't available in singles anymore, so avex took that policy to released them in album.
of course with expectation that they can grab more money from remix lovers.

I suppose Grant would be right in saying that there's a slim to nil chance of having that many Ayu-mi-x albums. Around the time of Ayu-mi-x II - III , Ayu was at the top of her career, and singles were released like crazy, but now, whether it's a lagging exonomy or the wide usage of mp3s, Avex has been holding back, so as much as we'd all hope for this to be true, I guess like all things, time will tell all
