Hitoto You is a really good Japanese singer with a unique style. Her albums have been selling quite well since she debuted (540k --> 260k -- 200k).

Her recent successful single is Hanamizuki and that did very well. Including 2006 sales, it sold 394,628 units. It reached #4 on Oricon charts and charted for 109 weeks. This was her second smash single, reaching #30 on the 2004 end-of-year charts by selling 253,087 units, and then again reaching #80 on the 2005-end-of-year charts by selling 124,010 units. Morai Naki is Hitoto Yo's debut single.

Morai Naki, her debut single, reached #4 on Oricon charts and charted for 68 weeks. It became the #13 single of 2003, selling 405,253 units in that year. and it is her most successful single to date.

Her next project is a Greatest Hits compilation that is sure to do well. It will be released on 29/11.

out of curiosity, i got her Hitoomoi and "&" albums yesterday.. they're pretty nice. i also noticed that she sounded like abe natsumi but only better.. abe's voice could get annoying...

but the best song for me still is Morai Naki.
