Smile The Most Underrated Songs ☆☆☆

or Artists~ Post yours!

This is one of the most underrated songs ever imo. No one really knows about it, and no one else I know really listens to it. It's the last track of the single, and relatively ignored...but I just love how beautiful it is...without being one of those....cliche pretty indie songs....if that makes sense.

I don't think it's the most original in arrangement, but I just think they did it so perfectly, it's one of my favorite songs of all time.

I think Eiko Shimamiya's Ozone receives horribly little recognition. Nobody seems to even remember it exists, but I think it's one of the most beautiful songs she has ever made. It goes from depressing to uplifting and back with the excellent combination of piano and Kazuya Takase's signature synth strings carrying it through and Eiko's emotional vocal performance just crowning it. Not to mention that it has beautiful lyrics to boot.

And yet, it wasn't too long ago that no one had even bothered to upload this song to Youtube, which made me really sad.

I guess I'm just sharing an underrated artist~ Her EP Sirens was only uploaded to Youtube three days ago.

Here's one of my favourites from her EP~ It's called Wolf.

Almost all of the music I listen to is underrated in the sense that it doesn't have a large mainstream audience since it's usually some variety of indie, or shoegaze, nu-gaze, math rock, etc. even though there are some that've gotten a bigger audience like MGMT, Death Cab, Vampire Weekend, etc.

Anyway, this is a song by one of my favorite bands ever, The Radio Dept.:

Many songs by one of my favourite artists, Chara, are underrated (with the exception of Time Machine, Yasashii Kimochi, Kataomoi and breaking hearts) and in my eyes, the most underrated are kiss, Heaven, Break These Chain, Hikari no Niwa, Milk and Junior Sweet.

Ia. Röyksopp is an underrated duo. They need more exposure!
This is another really good song by them:

I think Medina got some international attention when she released her first album completely sung in english "Welcome to Medina". It sucks that her latest danish album was, what I would call complete **** without as much as blinking. It was bad. But Welcome to Medina is in the decent-good end and I think that album didn't get enough international attention. Here's a few songs from it.

I don't think I've met a single BENNIE BECCA fan either, not on AHS or anywhere else, so I'm going to embed a video of hers too.

Rocco Deluca (used to be Rocco Deluca and The Burden) is one of my favorite modern rock (and kind of soul-ish?) groups. I think this group has got to be the most underrated, simply because their music is absolutely amazing and no one seems to really know of them.

Waa Wei (Ru Xuan) definitely doesn't get as much attention as she should either. There's something jazzy, soul and very bright and pop about her discography and her texts are funny and creative. She used to be a member of the group Natural Q.

Télépopmusik should be getting a little more love as well.

And Mass of the Fermenting dregs too, though their music is of the more hectic, tightly arranged rock-type. It's either love or hate with this group. I love them.

Sorry about the long post

I've heard of them, but never heard them Maybe it's time for that! I have one friend that mentioned them once and sent me one of their songs on spotify.

Are you a fan of them?

YES. I haven't really listened to their stuff, but I have mad love for Karin Dreijer Andersson. Her solo stuff as Fever Ray is super awesome. "This Must be It" that she's featured on is also really good.

They're as of now, my favorite band. I hold them pretty dear.

I suggest you check out:

@emiko- Marie Antoinette! It's cool that Sophia used a couple of their songs but I wish they would've been more prominent. It was just 40 seconds of instrumental, but it did fit great in the movie.

Excellent soundtrack... Oh The Strokes
