Who else appreciates glitter? ANYBODY?

It seems that nobody is really fond of glitter, however I truly do LOVE the song. Sure, I'd love it more hadn't BLUE BIRD been released the same time last year and fairyland prior to that the year before, but I think it is her BEST summer song. Actually makes me want to go run in the sun, especially on the beach. Makes me want to swim and I can tell you, I don't HATE outside but I don't ever go "running" but the day glitter leaked, I had to put it on my iPod and actually go outside and RUN. Ayu's vocals are so good in the song and the different electronic instrumentations in the song make it oh so much more delightful. I think the "SUMMER" feeling in this song is the strongest out of any of her other "SUMMER" songs, including the summer songs she released before hitting fairyland. It's sugar-coated candy, how can you resist?

they just reused the same theme again =(
and then the PV didn't make sense (ok, it's supposed to be a movie, but at least add something that makes the song sound like it's SUPPOSED to be for the summertime!)

I love the song glitter too. I'm not to fond of some pop rock music so this new song just isn't for me. I guess most fans like Ayu for her rock and maybe not dance like music. I just know I like both songs glitter/fated way better than this new one. :/

I love glitter as I had said, but I also OOZE over her rock songs! I think talkin' 2 myself is AMAZING. I do not like fated however...

fated was a huge dissapointment. The intro is amazing and the verses are good but the chorus is horrid. The intro on the PV is to die for as well (for fated). I know it could have been better that's why I dislike it so very much.

At first I didn't really like it, but when I visited Japan over the summer-no matter where I went or which stores I entered, Glitter would be playing!

"Kono natsu bokutachi wa..."

After awhile, it got pretty catchy and I liked how it's bursting with the energy of summer! It's not her best song, but I think it's still pretty catchy and easy to remember.

It's just really catchy. Kinda nice. I like it, it's not my favorite, but I like it.

I totally love this song.
it's my favorite of all her summer songs.
Most of the days I wake up and the first thing that comes to mind is that song, or sometimes I'm singing it the entire day xD it's reaaally catchy.
I think that the pv didn't really matched the song, but since it was part of a short movie, it's acceptable.
I don't know why, but every time I hear this song, the colour orange comes to my mind xD don't know why, weird feeling xD

Glitter is a great song! I think it was actually something new and fresh =)! I dont see why people say it is similar to blue bird or fairyland =S? The PV for it was horrible though ><! And plus I dont think people arent fond of it. I just think they over played it XD

I love glitter. Honestly I don't understand how people can complain and complain it's the same song as BLUE BIRD and fairyland. Sure the theme of the lyrics are similar, but the instrumention, melody, vocal style, etc. is different. Ayu has more than 120 songs, so why not try to appreciate each and every one of them as it's own, and not try to compare and then compare some more.

*I* don't get how people complain about fairyland and BLUE BIRD and even compare those. >>; fairyland is a lot better. glitter is different than both named songs and it's also a great song ^^ but I prefer fairyland.

i dont see why anyone shld hate this song. i think it shldnt even be labelled as a summer song. its a REAL song by ayu! much effort put in. tune is catchy unlike other summer songs. and she even went to HK to film a short movie for this song!

I totally agree with Kogepan.

I absolutely adore "glitter" too, sure it's not groundbreaking but it is what it was meant to be, a happy summer dance tune. The same goes with "Distance Love", it really was not that bad. People make it out to be this horrid music video, but trust there are lots of worse things out there. I actually like "Distance Love" a lot, especially during Ayu's date scene. Anyways I'm a big fan of "glitter".

To be honest, I don't dislike any of her summer songs. Greatful Days, INSPIRE, BLUE BIRD, glitter...I love them all. I believe there's a time and place to be happy and a time and a place to be emo and Ayu really makes use of those distinctions. They're all catchy in tune and carefree in lyrics....sure, glitter is not one of her definitive songs, but it's definitely not bad.
