[REQ] Soft rock song (title unknown)

For those of you that love this song, you'll probably hurt me.

There's a song out there that I absolutely love, but I can't figure out the title of it. I was wondering if anyone could possibly think of it by me giving clues describing the song?

o Language: English
o Genre: Soft rock (ballad)
o Male singer
o Possible song title is "I Love You"?
o Details: Before the final chorus and after the second (?) is a line, "So far away," and the voice is made to sound far away.
o Details: During the actual verses, the music is very quiet and there's a little "boom boom" (?) in the middle of it. I don't know if this helps at all! (^^;

I heard it on the radio today and someone in my sign language class signed it and, as I said before, I absolutely love this song!

Anybody have an idea?

hehe no worries! i've done that with songs before -- i've known what i thought was the song title (but wasn't) and spent ages trying to find the song -- it's very frustrating
