How diverse are your musical tastes?

I was just wondering does everyone here listen to J-pop and techno exclusively or do you listen to other stuff too?

Here are my interests:

Progressive Metal: Dream Theater, Fates Warning, Porcupine Tree
Progressive Rock: Yes, Spock's Beard, Pink Floyd
Power Metal : Iron Maiden, Iced Earth, Hammerfall
Thrash Metal : Pantera, Anthrax
Nu Metal : Korn, Papa Roach, Disturbed
Rap Metal/Rock: 311, Linkin Park, Primer 55
Art Rock: Sonic Youth, The Flaming Lips
Alt/Prog Rock/Metal: Faith No More, Tool, Mudvayne
Grunge: Nirvana, Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam
Alt Rock/Pop: Nickelback, 12 Stones, Weezer
Industrial: Powerman 5000, Nine Inch Nails, Static X, Ministry
Underground Rap/Hip-Hop: Deltron 3030, Dan the Automator, DJ Shadow, Jurassic 5
J-Pop: Ayumi Hamasaki, Megumi Hayashabara, Mai Kuraki, Hikaru Utada
J-Rock: Luna Sea, Malice Mizer
Techno: Moby, Chemical Brothers, Ministry of Sound, Aphex Twin, Ferry Corsten
Punk: MxPx, Nofx, The Ramones, The Misfits
Pop-punk: Green Day, Offspring,
Emo: Sunny Day Real Estate, Saves the Day
Emocore: Boy Hits Car, At the Drive In, Boy Sets Fire
Misc.: Atari Teenage Riot, Bjork, Tori Amos, Cibo Matto
Classical: Yo Yo Ma, Bach, Beethoven
Death Metal: Death, Carcass, Morbid Angel, Opeth
New Age: Enigma, Enya, Benedictine Monks of Santo Domingo de Silos
Metal: Megadeth, Slayer, Judas Priest

About the only thing I will not listen to is country or stuff like NSync.

Of course there is more. I have almost 1500 CDs of various styles of music.

Whoa, I'm way too tired to list everything I like. (It's been a long, stressful week.) I like J-pop, trance, techno, pop, alternative, Christian, new age, and classical.

I can listen other different genre. Except for country. Don't really like it much. I can't think of others right now so... yeah...

oh let's see hear, I hate classifying things so I'll just name bands
Nirvana, Metallica, Megadeth, some Incubus, the Beatles, Led Zeppeling, Pink Floyd, Our Lady Peace, the Wallflowers, Fuel, Seven Mary Three, Aerosmith, Queen, Rush, the Doors, the Who, Van Halen, Pearl Jam, Live, Kansas, Jimi Hendrix, Goo Goo Dolls, Guns and Roses, Alice in Chains, some Eminem, Children of Bodom, Ayu, Tool, older Nickelback (the new stuff's terrible), Rage Against the Machine, Earshot, and Tenacious D.
Quite a unique mix, but can't you tell I love the guitar? Almost all of these bands with the exception of Eminem have guitars in most of their songs (I say most because Ayumi doesn't always have a guitar in her songs, but she does quite a bit).

You should check out Dream Theater (if you haven't already) since you are into guitar. John Petrucci is one awesome guitarist. Joe Satriani was my favorite guitarist until I heard him.

I mostly listen to jpop now. On occassion though I may listen to western pop, but that just depends on my mood and the song.
I also like, on certain occassions also...
classical - mostly works by Tchaikovsky
jrock - Glay, L'arc~en~ciel

let's just say that one moment i can be listening to Crystal Kay and the next to Morning Musume. After that, Chicago OST and some global trance, and everything in between.

I, of course, like J-Pop and some J-rock (Ayumi Hamasaki, Utada Hikaru, Hello! Project, Pipo Angel's, Do As Infinity, Gackt, and some songs by other artists like BoA and ELT and Malice Mizer)

I also listen to:
-New Age (Enya, Enigma, and Delerium but I'm not really sure what the heck Delerium is supposed to be o.0)
-80s music
-Songs from musicals
-Other random songs from random artists (Some stuff from Outkast, Moby, Incubus, Maroon 5, Faye Wong, BADA, etc)

Probably not the MOST diverse test ever but oh well
