Tagging new tracks

(It sounds kinda stupid but...)

I'm a little bit confused about how to tag re-mastered tracks from A BEST 2... how do you tag these?

(New mix, Re-mastered...)

well uh. just name them as the song title. for last.fm purposes adding re-mastered etc would be idiotic

and the track listing dosent have any extras on the title so just call it the original song title

But how you difference both version in the playlist? :S

Well in foobar it says what album its from so if you had STEP you on it would say (miss)understood or STEP you / is this LOVE? for the original and A BEST 2 -White- for the new one

^exactly. Just look at the album....like in iTunes. I usually have mine seperated by album.

Maybe it's a good idea but it doesn't work with all mp3 players.

Well, this is how I tag mine.

i.e. STEP you.mp3, STEP you (A BEST 2).mp3

Cause on my Creative, if my songs aren't like that, I can't tell which is which. xD Unless I go to View Details, but that's just so much work. xD

i like years/numbers better
