WHINERS ARE WEINERS

The title says it all. This is a bit of a generalization, but seriously, it’s the best way to describe us Ayu fans. The incessant complaining about Ayu that tends to dominate the Ayu Chat-Room is growing tiresome, hence why I decided to take a fresh approach and winge about her fans for a change.

For me, the most concise way to put it is this: it doesn’t matter if Ayu remains relevant to you, because her music is timeless. Not only has she been hugely prolific, but she’s been pumping out countless great releases of a consistently high-quality. If you think that’s debatable, it’s most likely due to the fact that as fans we are unappreciative brats who have become ungrateful because Ayu has been spoiling us all these years.

For real.

I've been thinking that some people are little too picky and demand a little too much out of Ayu, since she's put out such masterpieces in the past..

But who's to say what's good and what isn't? She's still one of the top selling female artists in singles and albums

There are a lot of fans here at ahs who...well...they just...
okay im not helping am I...I just ignore them. I really don't care about anyone else THAT much to care about their incessant complaints. If I feel someone is really wrong in their thinking, I will go out of my way to disprove them, and it's usually easy because logic always beats out opinion any day...but usually, I jsut ignore it.

I support Ayu 100%, I'm always saying that, I know, but it's true. And all of her true fans should too. It doesn't mean that you have to like everything she puts out, or even her style, or the direction she's headed. It just means that this is what she chooses to do, and we, obviously as her fans, should have enough respect for her to support whatever she chooses to do.

I think that many people feel dissatisfied because her music isn't as "sticky" as before, and her sales have been going down and so on..

But I've really learned to not listen to what anyone's saying when a new PV/single/album comes out, since my opinion should be the only one that matters to me [this applies to sales as well.].. :O~

I've found that older fans are a lot more disapproving of her newer works, while the newer fans who came in around (m)u or MY STORY enjoy her newer works more than the older ones..

I love Ayu and all. I always will. but for me, it all depends on who's releasing something. I was anticipating both A BEST 2 and BEST ~Bounce & Lovers~, so I have to share my love equally between the two. (Jeez, I wish their were more fans like me XD) if I do complain, it'll be like "I want a new single" or something. That's about it. XDD

I really hate the wars about sales. Sales shouldn't matter as long as the song is good. ^_^

Also, I thought (miss)understood was an AMAZING album. It's something that Ayu hasn't given us before. Any artist should be allowed to mess around with Genres. MY STORY was mostly Rock, and (miss)understood was more along the lines of something to dance to, In my opinion.

they are. Older fans are WAY more critical, because the ayu they knew is gone. But I mean so what? No use complaining about it...and I mean, after a while, it just seriously gets annoying. It's all the same complaints...especially since (m)u came out. It seems better recieved now, but...I remember...people kinda hated it...everyone was always talking about how ayu sucked now a days, and hw her pvs weren't as good, and how her voice wasn't as good, sales etc etc...

It's always the same old crap. We should just like, lump all the complaint threads together to form a mega complaint thread that would always be on topic because people are always complaining about the same stuff...

and omg...i've only been here for a little while! There must have been more before I got here...I don't know exaclty when people started complaining about stuff...

I've seen a lot of negativity towards Ayu in the past year or so, and it's surprising for some reason..

I'm not really impressed by Ayu anymore, but other people still like her. I have moved onto other music, and that's that- I don't make a big deal about it Some people really do need to stop whining though. She's working hard for everyone, people don't always think about that. :/

I'm always being impressed and surprised by ayu, and my ayu fandom goes waaay back. It's not just because her music, but the fact that she is the only artist I have ever followed, who is constantly outdoing herself and is ultra-famous and still reigning queen. I can't think of anybody else who has gotten to her status and was so true and sincere. You don't hear wretched tabloids about shaving her head, rehab, dumping and dating, none of that. And she is so good to her fans and thrives on our support, as you can see through interviews and at her concerts and diaries. This is why I can dislike ayu at some points, but can never just go "la la la, oops I think I left ayu" in life lmao.

SO I AM NOT A WEINER lol.

Ayu still amazes me to this day.. doesn't matter that I've only been here at the Sekai 2 years.. I've been listening to Ayu since 1999. Still, I'm a fan of her music.. sure.. she's put out a few things that at first i was like "ehh.. wtf?" but they grew on me..
Seriously, I used to hate inspire (mostly because of the PV..) , and I also didn't like Bold & Delicious at first.. but they've grown on me.. and heck, I even like Startin' .. even the video.. because its good for giggles ^_^ but I love the song, no idea why.. but it gives me energy and makes me feel like dancin' *shrugs*

I like her old stuff. I like her new stuff.

Don't let other people's opinions sway how you feel about her music, or many other things in life for that matter. Like what you want, and dislike what you want. Just because a bunch of people are up in arms about a song they don't like doesn't mean you have to join them.

I will say that her newer works are fairly different from her early works, but that is no reason for the fans not to get along.

I like the first half of her musical career but not of the rest of it (or the very very beginning for that matter). I'm more of a LoveAppears to Rainbow sort of fan.

As for the fans whining about her music, I can remember that happening as long as I've come here... am I the only on who's thought it hasn't increased? (or maybe it's increased but only cause the number of members has as well) I don't really have a problem with it as I just dont participate in those threads

I used to be a whiner xD not as much now : That was because, well I wasn't very mature hahaha, but umm wow I blanked out, anyways whiners should shush because Ayu does her best and well the only reason she may be stressed is because the company pushes her and the company pushes her cause the fans are what she needs to rely her career on : So yeah, no good sales and what not, Ayu goes boom and she's over. We have too high of expectations for artists these days no?

For me, I understand that not everyone will like all her music. But there's a fine line between criticism and whining, and one can look intelligent while the other can make on look like a four year old.

I think everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but it might just be the way that they say it that actually don't get their points across that well and make them look more bratty.

For me, there are some songs that I'm more meh about, some songs that I like, and songs that I love. But I've learned not to compare the past with the present because people change.
