Well ever since Janet.."left" there hasn't really been anyone like her yet. Ciara is like exactly the same.

1) Limited vocal ability (not necessarily a bad thing)
2) a high concept look
3) crazy dance and choreography

This is the video that Janet should have came out with earlier this year. I pretend she hasn't released any music since All For You in 2001.

"Video of The Year"? This Music Video was nothing special, I pray to God this doesn't get video of the year because if it does, that means we've had a pretty rough year. And I thought it would be a new song, but this song has been out for a while. I forgot all about it. Not all that memorable. I liked some of Ciara's singles in the beginning but could care less about her now. Especially now that I know she can't sing.

I'd say it's a very bad thing when the profession you've chosen depends on your VOCAL ABILITY.

But rather then "limited", I've come to the conclusion that she has "NO" vocal ability. If not for the dancing, she'd have no career.

Her weak vocals work with her songs. That video isn't the best example cause the song isn't good lol. Not everyone has to have a voice like Christina or Celine, Ciara's voice isn't THAT bad.

In certain situations, LIP SYNCING is acceptable, heck in some cases it's PREFERABLE. Then again, when the back up singers are the only ones singing...............

Yeah. Even so, Ciara is about on par with "this one" if you ask me. Between them, they both lose.

Sometimes you wonder why some "posers" just don't turn down TV Performances. I don't think they have to. And of course they want to promote their stuff, but why be counter productive and Sing Live, prove to us that you really can't sing, thus not really getting people to buy your stuff.

Better to let your video and the digitized vocals sell your stuff when you can't sing.

Not to mention that's one of those songs, whether you can sing or not, that's just not made for Live Performances, like Robin Thicke's "Lost Without You".

It's not a bad video, but it really ain't good either.... Ok, her dancing IS amazing, but she should have lost the lame looking wig, it looks really bad since you can see it's not her hair from an airplane.
Then comes the part with the REALLY bad plastic outfit that looks terrable and made me go WTF??????
But i'll give it a thumb up for making me laugh at the first scene with the bike XD
it soooo made her look like she farted XD hahahahaha
the part with her in normal clothes and with her natural long curly hair was eyecandy for me^^

About the Cassie (or whatever that girl's name is):
that girl REALLY can't sing man!! i could hear the crowds whispers in the back more than i heard her so called "singing". The only reason she was able to become a "singer" was due to her awesome face and body.
She had to sleep around A LOT in order to get singed by a record company.

^I agree, that song is not old. There was about a month between the song leak and the video release.

The original demo of the song ("Hood Girl") leaked like forever ago, and I think the final version leaked at least a month or two ago. I could be mistaken though.

Anywho, I love the video, very slick. In my opinion Ciara is talented not only for her dancing abilities, as I actually really like her vocals. Though she's hardly a vocal powerhouse, she always has a really cool, collected, and unforced delivery to her vocals that makes her singing quite likeable and very listenable, something a lot her otherwise technically stronger competitors lack.

As for the song, I'm rather pleased this was finally chosen as first single, although it's nothing earth-shattering. "Work" was absolutely awful, and though I personally LOVE "High Price", I think it would polarize most listeners, so "Go Girl" is the smartest choice.
