hehehhe.. sorry for confusing you... Well, the word effects just also came into my mind.. In my own explanation, yes, what are the effects of Ayu in your life? But it depends on the level of your devotion to her, isn't it? Ahh well...

I'm not loyal devoted or obsessed... I listen to her when she comes on shuffle on my itunes, and sometimes I sing along. I dont know about her music after My Story.

Eh. Ever since she become so predictable with her style... things changed. I still adore all her music (except for glitter) though.....

It's hard to put it into words how I feel about Ayumi.

^amusing to come into the ayu chat room then, eh?

I'm not obsessed where I talk about ayu nonstop, but I will say I am a highly devoted fan. That will probably never change.

I'm a big fan of Ayu, but I wouldn't call myself obsessed or whatever. I like her music (well, her old tracks more) and I still follow her news. I can't say that I'm the big Ayu fan that I used to be though. For me, Ayu was a lot more interesting back then. She used to always release fantastic singles and albums, she had a really trendy fashion style that wasn't all about being glamorous (gosh, I loved her MTRLG days!!!), her works had more depth then it does now IMO.

But I'll always enjoy most of her songs.

Obsessed still, after 5 years of fandom.

I get so excited with each release. I love watching the concert DVDs 'cause I get extremely into it. I still listen to Ayu's entire discography. The songs don't get "old" to me. I mean, over the years sure, a song may not be as exciting as when it came out, but it's not just about excitement for me, it's about meaning. I don't see myself as a person who chews up and spits out Ayu's songs like candy, -- they're more like sentimental gifts or gems to me. I'm proud of Ayu for creating something that can be appreciated throughout the years for its emotional significance.

Sorry for the silly analogy, though.

Good post, Love Appears!

About me... I can say that I don't get the emotional rushes that I did in 2006 or 2007, when the world of Japanese music and Ayumi Hamasaki in particular was really fresh and exciting, but after going through my little break [or something] from some Ayumi-related stuff, I feel refreshed. After my lukewarm response to GUILTY as a whole, Mirrorcle World is definitely the breath of fresh air to get me back to Ayu-fandom.
I'd still like to think that I'm obsessed, though. The topic of Ayumi is still very fascinating.

For me, Ayu obsesse me. I'im a loyal fan of her, forever. When I started to listen to her, my life had a new meaning. I will always be devoted her. She is a part of me. If I don't have one song per diem, I will become crazy!

I like her. She's one of my favorite artists, because of her overall image, merchandice (DVDs, PVs, etc.) and personality. I don't love her music that much more than my other artists. Lately I like listening to Koda Kumi more than Ayu, because Koda's music is so addictive and upbeat, compared to Ayu's rock and ballads and stuff.~ Idk I guess I'm in a cute music fase lol.

Hmmm I'd have to say I'm pretty obsessed
I mean, (and don't take this in the wrong way) but Ayu's appeared in my dreams several times >.><.<....even if it was just one of her songs playing. It's kind of weird, but yeah lol. Also, thanks to some of her lyrics, I've opened my eyes to some things I've never really thought about before, so Ayu's changed my life in some ways....and she's even made me feel a little better about myself. Ayu is a BIG part of me now, and it would be hard to imagine life w/o Ayu's wonderful music

A few years ago I used to listen to her constantly, even though I never restricted myself to ayu only.....now I'm just a casual listener. Secret and GUILTY played for a shorter time than usual in my play list if compared to her previous stuff. I still look forward to her releases though!

I can't say I'm obsessed but Ayu is a big part of my life. I've been a loyal fan of hers for about a good 6 years now and I just adore her. I'm a devoted fan of hers and that'll never change. Her lyrics are inspiring and it's opened my eyes to things I haven't realized before. Some of it being about myself and just life altogether.
