How is the video on Panasonic Lumix (FX35)?

Since my sister broke my last digital camera that cost me $350 two months after I bought it, I will be looking for a new one before I go to Japan in June and I can't help but be drawn to the LUMIX. I'm too much of a fanboy but I really want one and video is a big concern for me. I read it records in Quicktime Format and how is that? Anyone can tell me how the video quality is and how much you can record on other LUMIX models?

Thank you!

I can't find a good review that really tells you about the video quality. It's motion JPEG. I would think AVI is better?

I wasn't sure where to post this... ha ha.

Sorry.

www.dpreview.com has a review of the TZ5, which is Panasonic's compact zoom with the same processing engine, sensor, etc. You can get a good idea of how the FX35 can perform.

Only thing is that the TZ5 can zoom during video ^^

actually FX35 has the same function and quality as FX 33. the only difference is that FX35 has a biger screen.

No, the FX35 has the same size screen. Major updates include 25 mm ultra wide angle lens, dramatically improved Venus Engine IV, 720p HD recording, and new interface.
