Memorial Address - Ayu's Mom?

As far as I know her mom is still alive.

I thought it might be because she stopped singing asfxx in AT03-04, and in an old interview she said she'd sing that song so that the person who it was for (Mariko Hamasaki) would hear it... and teddy bear is sung before, which is for Ayu's father, right?

I believe she also wrote Who... for her father. But I'm not quite sure.

I thought that Memorial Address was dedicated to her father o_o

on the subject of family members is it true that her grandma died around the release of poker face, which is a reason why she doesn't like the song?

It was her grandmother who passed, not her mother. And yes, teddy bear is for her father, and so is Memorial Address, because her father also passed away. If you look on the inside booklet where Ayu is laying with the mirror, there's a date written in lipsick, that's the date her father passed away.

are there any source of that? never heard that her father had died, only that he left Ayu's family and then no one knew about him.

To me, Memorial Address is a song about a man that left her. When I listen to it, she sounds angry and hurt, so when I listen to it I think she's talking about a past lover or something along those lines...

But if it was about her father, I guess it makes sense too...

^I don't it was "never cared" but rather along the lines of "is not searching for him".

I thought Memorial address was also about her dad, which is why it was performed after Teddy bear in AT03-04. The song clearly refers to death, so it couldn't be her mother, and a past lover is just highly doubtful considering the song's importance and the fact if she did have a "past lover" during her teens, it must've not last long enough for ayu to not talk about it, as she used to do all the time regarding her early life.

I just watched the AT03-04 performance. It was soooo EMO!

She seems so sincere (when she cries)... it made me cry!

Yeah that performance is simply amazing!! From what I have heard MA was for her father yes and about that date written on the mirror is nothing I have heard of before. Ayu have always been so careful with her personal life so that seemes a bit weird. Also, she didnt have any contact with him after he left when she was... what... 5 or something?

She received the news that her grandmother had passed away just before going into the studio to record poker face.

She did, however, suspect she was spending time with him at the seaport where she came often as a child. She went fishing with a man and she remembered having a lot of fishing tools in her home. That might have been a way for her dad to spend time with her, when he couldn't as her dad for some reasons we don't know.

Memorial address = Ayu's father
Who... = Ayu's grandmother
ever free = Ayu's grandmother

That's how I heard it, anyway. And I was sure she said, along the words of that it didn't matter to her where he was, that she really wasn't entirely sure if he's even alive or not. So it's possible that he is alive.

As for the 0630 thing, I've heard rumors that this was when he left her or because that was the date before July 1st.

I don't think anyone (outside of Ayu's life) really knows.
