The Official Lil' Kim Thread: All Hail the Queen Bee

I was shocked to see that no one ever created a thread for QB. I've been a fan since 2000, when her second album was released. I know there are a few other Kim fans here, so who likes her? Who hates her? What do you think about her?

Has anyone heard her newest song, Respirator. It's really different, with a vocoder used on her voice for the entire song.

She's a pretty good rapper. I enjoyed The Notorious K.I.M. a lot, which is surprising considering I don't really like hip hop - rap. Didn't she go to jail?

Anyways, Respirator's awesome. Very addicting.

Haha, you are awesome. Yeah, I don't like rap either but I love Kim. Notorious K.I.M. is by far my favorite album by her, and one of my all-time favorites by any artist. And she did go to jail for an entire year. They even had a TV show on BET, "Countdown to Lockdown", that followed her life before she went.

I like some songs out of "La Bella Mafia", and Lady Marmalade, of course.

Can't **** With Queen Bee = LOVE [automatically sampling "Free" by Deniece Williams makes you a winner in my book]
and of course Magic Stick!!!

The Naked Truth RULES too!!

Ms. G.O.A.T. or whatever sounds really bad though...

Haha, back in middle school I thought that listening to "Hard Core" made me a bad-***.

I was more of a Foxy fan back then, though.

I had both that one and "Notorious K.I.M." at one time, but I lost "Hard Core" somehow. I downloaded some songs from it that I remembered fondly a while back though ("Drugs," "Queen !@#$%," and a few more).

Foxy Brown was awesome too. I LOVED her songs "Hot Spot" and "Candy"! But yeah, Kim's "Queen *****" was awesome. And I loved "Spend A Little Doe" and "Big Momma Thang" from Hard Core as well.

Unfortunately Ms. G.O.A.T. wasn't that great. But then again, it isn't considered an album, but just a mixtape. I guess calling it that excuses it for just being a bunch of random collaborations and reject tracks :\

"I taste just like candy. So dance with me, I taste just like candy."
Foxxy was OK. I'm always gonna be a Lil Kim fan. NOW & 4EVA!
I fell in love with her when she had that song - crap. What was it called. And she had like a different colored wig in every scene to go along with the color and the clothes everyone was wearing?
And it was like: "I know you heard me on the radio. True. I know you see me in the-" I don't remember much after that. lol

EDIT;; IT WAS "Crush On You"!!!! That's my all time fave Kim song!

That's "Crush On You" from Hard Core, her first album. I remember seeing that video when it was on MTV, and I loved the different colored rooms and wigs. I didn't officially love her until "How Many Licks?" though

"Crush On You" came out when I was like 5 or 6 and I just remember being fascinated by all the colors. And then the song! My brother is a huge hip-hop fan and I just happened to be around when the video came on his TV. Ever since then I've been a hip-hop and Lil Kim fan!

I love Lil' Kim! Funny how I can't stand male rappers yet it's a completely different story with the girls.
