How do you sync apps to iPod Touch?

What the title says.

I bought the Bejeweled 2 apps from the iTunes store and I can't figure out how to put it on my iPod touch. When I looked for help or guidelines online, all I get is "it will sync automatically once you plug your iPod to your computer". Which it isn't, because I can't find it anywhere when I turn my iPod touch on.

Or maybe I'm blind? Shouldn't there be an "Apps" icon or is it hidden somewhere?

I did the automatic updates that pop up when I open iTunes.
Wasn't that it?

How can I download it?

Or is it the thing you gotta pay 9.99$?

Unless you have the 2nd generation iPod touch, it's the one you have to pay $9.99 for.

It used to pop up on iTunes but then I said "No thanks" cause I didnt care for it. But I had no idea I needed it... it never said anywhere when I downloaded the apps that I needed something for the iPod... it didn't even say it required anything else to be downloaded -_-;; Damn you Apple.

Yep. I had to buy the 9.99$ download to "upgrade" my 8GB iPod touch.

Now it's working!!

But it took so damn long -_-;;
