Linkin Park anyone?

Linkin Park is a good band! Are there any other fans here?

Next month, they're going to release a new CD/DVD called Road to Revolution!

Some people don't like their new stuff, but it really starts to grow on you, IMO.

OMG yes I LOVE Linkin Park. I didn't really like their latest album Minutes to Midnight, but I plan on giving it another try sometime soon. Their best album so far has to be Hybrid Theory Love that album.

Although I had no idea they were releasing something new soon o_o That's awesome news and I MUST buy it.

I bought their album Meteroa when it was out and loved it. Then they did that thing with Jay-z. It sounded good at first but then it was quickly overplayed. Then they released What I've Done and I didn't like that song too much. I haven't paid attention to them since then.

I was never really a fan, but their music is fine.

I saw them at a concert a few years ago and it was actually one of the best performances of the day. The lead singer was really funny.

There used to be a thread like this...but there wasn't a lot of fans here then.

I love linkin park. That said, I really don't like Minutes to Midnight -- their other albums are amazing! I'll be checking out the new live dvd for their older songs.

wow! LP is one of my not asian favorits XD

i love the song "In The End" "Papercut" and "Crawling" most ^^

but i'm happy for a new release XD

ive actually met Mike Shinoda when he was doing his solo project concert in london once outside in the queues and then in the meet and greet hes such a cool dude.

best thing i about LP though is that they genuienly respect their fans

I'm not their biggest fan either, but their music is awsome, specially during the Hybrid Theory-Meteora periods. Then, I didn't like Minutes to Midnight so much, I guess that album is too comercial compared with the previous ones, but still has some classic tracks that I like

Linkin Park is one of my favourite bands, I just have to pretend most of Minutes to Midnight doesn't exist lol.

People really don't like Minutes to Midnight. Probably because Mike Shinoda isn't rapping. That's a Linkin Park signature. But it would sound over used if they kept doing it.

M2M is a totally different sound to their other albums. I find that most older fans prefer their older stuff, but a whole new market likes M2M

*sigh* here's hoping they go back to HT-style again! I miss Chester & Mike's crazy hair colours (like in One Step Closer)

Yay!! There's a Linkin Park Thread!! I love these guys like HELL!! Minutes to Midnight was amazing!!!! How could anyone hate it? I loved (almost) all the songs in it!!! So waht if Mike didn't rap?? The album was a.m.a.z.i.n.g!!!

Anyway from my user name you can probably tell that I am a HUGE fan. It was quite a significant moment back in '01 when my cousin played me the "One Step Closer" single for the first time. At the time I was listening to whatever songs my friends did which was mostly BS.

It was my first taste of rock music and from there I built on my interest by listening to everything from Eric Clapton and Led Zeppelin, to Iron Maiden, AC/DC and Van Halen. They opened my eyes and for that reason I adore them

Also, I didn't like Minutes that much until I heard it performed live in January. It's much better live

edit: Chester is one of the best vocalists I have ever heard, period. Hear some of his covers on youtube like the AC/DC one with Slash.

^ Linkin Park was a starting point for my love of rock/metal music too!

and yes, Chester has an awesome voice -- he can scream and make it sound awesome (a rare feat i've realised)

Wow, looks like I'm not the only one whose had LP as their first favourite rock band! I really love Chester and Mike. Chester's voice is so awesome, when it's calm and when it's screaming. Mike's rapping really compliments the band and makes it more than just a rock band <3 I LOVE Crawling~

I just haven't listened to them in such a long time, but I recently put both Hybrid Theory and Meteora in my mp3! They help during exams stress

Yeppp I met Chester, Mike, and Pheonix last year. I got pictures of all of them but chester. D: The guard wouldn't let me because "I already got to meet them."

Stupid guards.
