It's real. I think she gave them to some of her TA members back in 2004...(I *think*) I distinctly remember reading about and seeing it when it happened. Everyone thought it was extremely strange. Some people were selling it for A LOT back then, too. Though at this point in her career I don't know if anyone would actually pay that much for that. I guess we'll see!

What in the...LOL. That looks pretty creepy actually...the way it's preserved in that plastic container. Why the hell would she give her hair out to people lmao. Stuff like this is pretty common. I've seen used tissues by celebrities being auctioned...and chewed gum from celebrities...and french toast even. Her hair would be the last thing on my list of things to keep as a memento of her, unless there was a really special reason for it, which I think are extreme circumstances. I guess if you wanted to find out you could DNA test it...

That brings up another thought. If you're a genetic scientist, you basically got all the necessary material you need from her if you ever wanted to make Ayu clones...

^haha! That is one of the reasons to buy it I guess. If I was really desperate to get an exact match on her hair color I might consider it, but I would just throw it away after, there's no need to have it.
