Funky Face Mask?

OK...

I was watching AT 2007 documentaries, and I noticed that someone (yeah, only one) always has one of those face masks that cover the mouth and nose on, something like what a dentist uses.

Sometimes it was Ayu, then PECO, everyone...

Anyone know why they use it? :O

^ it's to protect them from viruses, like colds~ so just to protect them from getting sick~
i used to wear those in public if i was sick in taiwan, you don't want to be coughing onto someone else and for them to get sick

well if one person is sick @_@, then it's still a precaution for the rest to wear just in case they..pick up on the virus too @_@

or the place they're at is very dusty, so to avoid dust in their nose and lungs? @_@ idk
but these face mask are not that uncommon at all

^ Sironigous lives in the US and same as Canada,
it's not common to see the masks ^^;
But it seems like in Asia they use it more, huh~

Here, if you wear it, people think you have like... a DISEASE =0=~

haha yeah, i mean it's uncommon in asia~

but yeah, i've seen people who wear it just for fun, they had their masks in the shape of hello kitty with the face on it, and the person decorated it with jewels

The concert halls are dusty. So to guard against anything that might be caused by that... yea.

OK. It's a reasonable explanation..

What just bugs me is why only one person is seen at a time with it. lol At any time during the documentaries, no more than one person was seen wearing it during any scene.

Well, usually only one person is sick at a time. This would explain it better than I could.

I live in the US, and when I get a cold I'll wear a mask when I go out- 1 because I don't want to get anyone else sick and 2 because I don't want to get sicker. The strength of your immune system is lower when you're sick, so you're more likely to catch something else. No one wants two colds back to back!

meh I figure someone there wears it if theyre sick...

but there's like...a huge connotation with wearing them and like having SARS lol because on the news...when SARS hit, they would have like a million people wearing those yeah?

I would probably be wierded out if I saw someone with one...

I mean...honestly...here...if I'm sick, chances are, the virus or whatever has already been around and anyone who's gonna catch it will catch it from someone else, so whatever.

Besides...that's like...the only contagious thing that goes around anyway.

I think, Ayu was in cough or get cold. I always watch Ayu wearing that thing every documentary for CDL. The CDL are in winter. Ayu might get sick at that time. I think so.....
