Non-Album Songs and Versions

Hey guys!

I was wondering if anyone might help me complete a list of all the Ayu songs and song versions (not including remixes) that never found their way to albums. The reason I ask is because Ayu could almost put out a B-sides and rare tracks compilation album, especially if we include her pre-Avex stuff. These are what I have so far:

1. Two of Us - found only in Depend on You single
2. LOVE ~since 1999~ - found only in LOVE ~destiny~ single
3. ever free - found only in Vogue single
4. theme of a-nation '03 - found only in & single
5. teens - found only in Startin' single
6. Someday My Prince Will Come - found only in Japanese DVD of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves
7. BOSS CM song - found only in BOSS CM

These are what I am unsure about:

1. alterna (in fairyland single) - I've read somewhere that the version in the single is different from the version in the (miss)understood album

2. A Song is Born (in A Song is Born single) - I'm not certain but I don't think the version with Keiko has ever been released on an Ayu album (as far as I know it's only been released on the song-nation compilation album)

3. A Song is Born (TV mix) - how different is this version from the original mix?

4. Ladies Night ~another night~ - should this count in the same way that LOVE ~since 1999~ is a different version of LOVE ~destiny~? Maybe not in the same way as the vocals are the same as in the original

5. WHATEVER Version J - again, is this version almost like a whole different song from Version M?

6. YOU, Depend on You, TO BE, LOVE ~destiny~ (10th Anniversary versions) - new versions of old favorites

Life is also now a B-side only song. I don't think Ladies Night ~another night~ counts, although it is awesome.

13. A - this is some kind of duet, I don't really remember. It is in a "Avex best" album or something.
14. RAINBOW - found on A BALLADS
15. LOVE ~Destiny~ - found on LOVE ~Destiny~ single
16. a song is born - found on a song is born single, a duet of Ayu and Keiko for "song-nation". Notice that the duet is named "a song is born", and Ayu's solo version is named "A Song is born".

Oh, and some songs has "special" versions for PVs, such as GREEN (It has a longer instrumental in the middle), my name's WOMEN (A "unknown" instrumental in the start), and so on, But those are ofcourse only avaiable if you rip the audio. Then there is SEASONS - H-H remix, which is the "ayu-ready" song (only the start).

And don't forget NOTHING FROM NOTHING tracks:

Love ~Destiny~, Endless Sorrow -single version- and Mirrorcle World are on A COMPLETE, but pinkshinigami doesn't seem to include Best Of albums (since you included RAINBOW and stuff as well)

^ No, I don't, as it took a long time for me to find all the songs of the BEST albums as well xD It took like.. a year, before I figured out that the A BEST tracks weren't just the normal, and I downloaded it >.< So i include it as well xD Oh! You got me remember Who...!

You mean the "Original mix" is the original, not Ayumi's version, right?

Nope it is Ayu's version. Disc 2 of lif-e-motions were all TRF songs sung by other artists. Ayumi sang teens, and later made an acoustic version for the Startin single.

Life is a b-side, A Song is born on the single features KEIKO, the album version on I am... and A BEST 2-White- does not, the TV Mix is the instrumental iirc

And I completely forgot about Life! My brain must have wandered away for a bit.

I never knew there was an original version of teens! Now THAT is one rare track, and a nice little discovery for the day.

Does an Ayu song called "A" really exist? It's not the A single, right?

There's a song called A featuring Ayumi by an avex band called M・CAT or so..
They are a very old band, and were popular in 1990s.
But if you mean in her own discography, then no, there is not.

Yeah the teens original mix isn't much different but theres some obvious differences, its a bit more ethereal.

And I am rushing off to listen to A Best End roll!!!!!!! Why isn't t listed as rerecorded??

Because it didn't get a New Mix. Boys & Girls got a New Mix but that didn't list as New Mix either. I guess avex only listed it because A Song for XX, Trust, and Depend on you got a new mix AND new vocal difference.

Just to add on, the "hey" parts are different. The "hey"s in the album version are more muffled.
