Maybe it was temporary? His profile is still active, but he hasn't posted in over a year.

According to Pommy on Twitter not too long ago, they don't really ban members anymore. They're just put on permanent posting restriction and can't post without mod approval (and I don't think their posts ever get approved, anyway). So I'm guessing that restriction doesn't apply to PMs?

I found it is ridiculous that many people believe ayu only make money from singing and writing songs. It may be partly true. In fact, she is an investor as well. She makes money with other products (partnership with different companies) or businesses (avex).

So according to a link for"A"ver club on fb posted (and the translation summary someone commented with) ayu sold her mansion in Japan because she wants a green card. I don't know what the source is (if there even is one) but I thought I might as well share

The article was a Chinese site. They said she wanted a green card when she was with Mannie, but couldn't cause she didn't stay long enough in the US since the earthquake happened.
Now, they're saying she's selling cause she's living too much of an extravagant life in LA.

I wonder - in Japan you can be a citizen of either Japan or another country, you can't have Japanese-American citizenship. So I wonder. Will she quit Japan and her citizenship completely and become permanent in LA?

That's a good point! I don't think Japanese women can have dual citizenship, so will she give up her Japanese citizenship to live in LA? A lot of her Japanese fans would lose their shit if she did, it would be so funny XD

She doesn't need to give up her Japanese citizenship to spend the rest of her life in the states, people. That's what green cards are for.

japan does not allow dual citizenship and they are very clear and strict on that . however the green card is not citizenship , its just a visa you have to renew every 10 years ( unlike US citizenship she doesnt have to learn american history ,presidents etc.... in order to get the green card).she could also get a spouse visa from her hubby since he was born and raise in US .

Yeah, I think the green card solution is more acceptable for Ayu. My parents are from Indonesia, they right now have Indonesian citizenship (as of now, though becoming questionable) and have green cards for permanent residency in the United States. The no-dual-citizenship policy that Japan has might prevent Ayu from obtaining both Japanese and US citizenship, but the fact what gothicayu said ('unlike US citizenship she doesnt have to learn american history ,presidents etc.... in order to get the green card'), it would be more likely for Ayu to grab a green card rather than surrendering her Japanese citizenship for American citizenship. Then again she still has to do concerts back in Japan...

So green cards don't have an expiry? You can just keep renewing it?

Green cards usually last for 10 years and then you can just renew it.
You can lose your green card if you stay in another country for a year

For"A"ver Club seems to have gone a bit crazy with all these comments without a reliable source recently. More like they are posting rumors as facts

hmmm..weird, i'm a dual citizen of japan and the us.
but i might be a 'weird' case...i was born in japan on a military base. o, and my father (who is half japanese half american) is also dual citizen, so i think that's why i was able to get it. But now i wonder how my dad got dual... I've also heard somewhere that if your were born on or before 1985, you can keep both citizens where as if you were born after, you have to drop one... i've done no research on this though. just thought i'd share that i'm a dual♥ |

It's a link from taiwan yahoo. They just link the site like what we do here in ahs or any other ayu forum. What's so different? They did not say that it's a fact. pls understand what you're reading. Don't join a club if you don't understand their language. It's more likely that you are spreading the wrong info instead, rather than them.
