Thumbs up Ayu to attend the Golden Disc Grand Prix

According to Aya-chan @ the AyuNation forum, Ayu will be attending the 18th Golden Disc Grand Prix and supposedly won "Artist of the Year".

Also, Aya-chan noted that in the magazine "Junon", there is a ranking on "Whose artist apartment people want to see", with Ayu being 1st on the list.

It would depend on what Avex plans to do with both artists. I still hope that the info about Ayu to possibly move more towards TV shows doesn't follow thru, as Avex may use that to make BoA as the "next big hit". It's not to say that BoA will be Ayu's replacement (as no one can ever truly replace her), but it could mean that their focus may be more on her (perhaps because she's younger and has a longer "shelf life").

congrats to her, but she doesn't deserve it. She wasn't #1 in sales last year. SMAP should have gotten this, their only single sold over 2,000,000 copies.

if this is true, then Naotaro Moriyama should've gotten it, he's the best selling soloist of 2003. anyways, congratulations to her.
