first off, I don't think she studied marine biology or any sciences in university but I think she studied literature or some kind of language art.

anyways, I also agree that Utada is pretty snobby as well as her fans. The difference people here vs people on the utada-online.net boards is like night and day. Snobby, houlier-than-thou or "look-at-me-I-am-an-intellectual-cause-I-listen-to-hikki" type people seem sum up of a lot of her fans really well. And then there are the ******* hypocrites.

It's like a year before Exodus came out, most of the fans said Hikki will bring new flavor into the American music industry, someone who'll standout not sellout, someone who relies on meaningful lyrics and versatile singing without resorting to being a skank and the melodies don't sound like a bubble gum pop song. When the album came out, a lot of jpop fans were disappointed since it sounded different from her usual releases. Uninspired lyrics about born again christians, Japaneazyness, meeting Texans and then getting down with them. wtf is that? And the melodies weren't great either. It was more like Hikki made a vocal track and then ask someone to slap in a dance track that stood out more than the vocals. As for the Easy Breezy PV, what's with her in a bathing suit? i mean...what happened to our beloved Hikki who liked to cover up herself. All of a sudden it's ****ty for Britney to wear a bathing suit and when Hikki wears it, it's like...wow Hikki "totemo kawaii ^_^;;;;" ? But still, the NUtada fans ate the album up and said it was great cause it was different Hey, I can make sounds by recording cars running over sewer covers and add in some lyrics in there and say it's great cause it's different!

As for Hikki, I think she looks down on Ayu.

That's the reasl reason I'm pretty sure. The whole "It's too easy thing" can be true. I mean some people don't like doing work if it's too easy or unchalleging (gawd, how do you spell that un challeng ing) x_x

Anyway, I think demure's right, you want to go to college, the class is easy-you can do it if you really wanted to, you have an american career + japanese career + a husband. I really think it was too much for one person.
