Everything becomes part of one another. The cricket is eaten by the snake, therefore becoming part of it. Ayu dies on the ground, therefore becoming part of the Earth.

exactly. It has nothing to do with ayu awaiting for her lover until she dies. It would make absolutely no sense if you compared that with the lyrics. It mostly shows how materia is recycled in the feeding chain, explaining how each being can be part of another, like her feelings and love for the guy she loves; they're mixed as if ayu has a part of him and he has a part of her.

It isn't the first PV in which ayu dies though

exactly, and then they carry her coffin in the very end. In About you, she's trapped inside an ice/glass cube, and in the end oxygen runs out and she desperately suffocates to death.
